I think I mentioned that @tpr had been assigned to competitive intelligence, hadn’t I? Still awaiting the reports on SMERSH and KAOS.

It won’t accept anything — even grammatically complete sentences — that are written in all caps.
It’s designed to keep 45* away.
in 1950, Richard Nixon, then a 38-year-old first-term Congressman from that state, high on red-baiting, ran for the United State Senate. His opponent was a 50-year-old (“but still young looking,” according to the New York Times) three-term congresswoman. Yep, Ms. Douglas.
Their race broke all previous records for spending (on his side) and vitriol (almost all on his too). This, after all, was where Nixon first earned his moniker “Tricky Dick,” in honor of his countless shenanigans (tossing her leaflets into the Pacific, calling off her rallies) and the dirt he threw at the elegant Ms. Douglas.
“She’s pink right down to her underwear,” he denounced. That comment, his use of pink paper in a flyer about her record, conspired to land her an undesirable moniker of her own: The Pink Lady.
I hated Nixon for a lotta years. When he died I would’ve celebrated but a dog who lived with us and who I treasured… died the same day Nixon did. So I hold that all those flags I saw at half mast were for my dog and not Nixon.
Then came trump and the feelings of hatred are back.
Imagine that!
Don’t make me clutch my pearls.
Tell me again about “utter bullshit.”
Oh, and it was Nixon - Richard M fucking Nixon who proposed national health insurance. Not some warmed over bullshit wank fest cranked out by the heritage foundation that served the needs of insurance companies first. But national health insurance - which put nixon NIXON to the left of Obama.
I won’t hold my breath waiting for you to admit you were wrong.
There is little that the Russians have done that is really new or unique.
I wanted to make this point: It ain’t new. What’s new is a foreign govn’t doing it when they have a vested interest in the outcome. I suppose we could say the medium is new – the internet.
Before Nixon, Truman proposed a national health insurance in 1948.
Howls of “socialism” and fear that blacks might share hospital rooms with whites killed it.
I suppose we could say the medium is new – the internet.
In the time line, it is now fairly old. The internet had been the new set of rails to ride in on. Social Media was the grease sliding it all right into the eyeballs of the consumer. It did give them access to a much bigger audience in any given moment.Their basic works have been in play for generations now. Why I say what I did, is they finally have achieved compromising a significant party almost completely. Many of the idiots involved believe what has been fed them, lured there by seeing mutual opportunity and kindred spirits. And it ate them alive. We are left with one party trying to do the job legitimately, guiding this country onward and the other party not only being obstacles to that end, but are actively trying to tear the fabric of this country apart. This is the newest tool that the Russians have in hand finally.
Not sure what your point is, but I do agree that the stupidity and toxicity of racism has been a favored tool of the super rich to convince morons to vote against their interests for 100 years.
Ka-TSSSSSHHHHHH!!!
Squeeeeee!!!
It works.
Always happy to help!
I think if he ever turned up here in these threads, as soon as he arrived, even before he said anything, it would be like the Wicked Witch of the West melting.
Oh yeah – thanks!!
”Newly Exposed Russian Disinfo Sites Echoed GOP’s False Narratives About Non-Citizen Voting”
Or did the GOP recite talking points that the Russians gave to them?
How come when Russia wants to damage the USA, all they literally have to do is …
… repeat the same things that Republicans say?
Thanks!
