Originally published at: New Report on Carr Communications With White House, Right-Wing Media Affirms What We’ve Know All Along
I’ve been making the case in Where Things Stand for some time now that Federal Communications Commissions Chair Brendan Carr has been one of the most successful yes men of Trump’s second term when it comes to carrying out the very specific and often petty aims of Trump’s retribution campaign against the media. We saw…
the RNC goes to Justice Kavanaugh, who has Missouri, and says ‘you have to save us from this?
With a six-pack of beer.
Cat:
Did CF-DJT mail his ballot back? Trusting the government workers of the USPS? Or did he take it to the registrar himself? Or have a mule or vote harvester deliver it?
The world needs to know.
Not only did we know about Carr, but the Senate that confirmed him knew it too. They didn’t care.
George Orwell, We Hardly Knew Ye
Just a reminder: The “joke” Kimmel told, really little more than an innocuous and truthful observation, was: “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”
Meanwhile, DOJ goons claimed in a court filing in the Comey case “there is no serious dispute” that a social media post of seashells he made last year could be understood as a threat against President Trump.
In reality the only thing that’s not seriously in dispute is my regret that Comey or whoever wrote “86 47” on the North Carolina beach didn’t have enough shells to add “with extreme prejudice.”
America’s long national nightmare continues.
Government plane to West Palm Beach, motorcade hand delivered to the registrar or a secure drop box. Can’t take any chances.
Missouri Map Showdown Ahead
The final skirmish over whether Republicans will get nullify Missouri citizens’ right to veto gerrymandered maps will play out over the next couple, frantic weeks.
All I have to say about this little blurb is it is more than this story has been shared with Misssourians by local Missouri media. Our local media tells us about weather, local sports and not much more. It certainly doesn’t have anything to say about an important story like this one.
Never forget the motto of the local media in Kansas City and St. Louis. “Nothing to see here, move along, nothing to see.”
We saw it in the Stephen Colbert/James Talarico drama when CBS’ lawyers shut down the comedian’s interview with Talarico out of fear of an FCC investigation.
Republicans lack American values. Our Founding Fathers wouldn’t be posing with Donald Trump for chuckles.
Seeing the state Republicans have put us in, they’d be ashamed.
Show me the Flock tape!
…undisclosed meetings he has held with media titans such as the Fox Corp chief executive, Lachlan Murdoch, and Sinclair Broadcast Group chair, David Smith.
We’re going to have to find out, when we take over, if those two companies are failing to act in the public interest and need to be curtailed. For example, if the girl’s skirts are getting a little too short; spot-checks on the reporter’s blood-alcohol level; man-woman-television-yada-yada; basic stuff.
I expect it will be a long and very expensive investigation.
I love Palm Beach in the late fall, winter and early spring. . Like Trump I avoid it in the summertime. I don’t blame him for not going to Mar A Logo this time of year.
I have found the Palm Beach County election officials to be first rate when handling absentee ballotss.
"a world where the Missouri Supreme Court rules, let’s say in our favor, that the RNC goes to Justice Kavanaugh, who has Missouri, and says ‘you have to save us from this?’” he mused. “That would not surprise me.”
Who has Missouri? WHO HAS MISSOURI?
What does that mean? Originalism begins in 1821? Is Kavanaugh under some kind of Republican quota system, like ICE? Torch the Constitution for one friggin’ House seat ???
The Republican Party is not at all about less or small governments. It is working toward a monarchy where succession is based on fascist loyalty.
It’s going to be warmer, so extend that Summer avoidance. We just set a record here in Miami at 100 degrees F yesterday, first time since 1942. I think West Palm Beach set a record at 97 F. Normally it’a a balmy low to mid 90’s this time of year. With 90% humidity, but hey, it’s the tropics.
Harp is a product of San Diego’s Christian community. She did her undergraduate studies at Point Loma Nazarene University. She worked for San Diego-based OAN, which to hear my 7th Day Adventist relative and associates tell it, the only news channel worth watching. None of that secular lefty Fox bullshit. More recently we have the Israeli “geofencing” scheme that got the owner of Show Faith by Works Ministries LLC, Chad (of course) Schitinger, riled. Show Faith has its main operations branch in Riverside, CA. but is headquartered in San Diego.
The declaration revealed that the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs was paying Show Faith by Works $4.1 million to carry out a massive, covert, digital surveillance operation targeting Christian communities across multiple states, including California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.
The document noted that all students at every Christian college and every congregant at “every major church” in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado has been spied on through their phone’s location data, and targeted with propaganda extolling Israel’s “moral superiority” and “linking the Palestinian population with extremist factions.” The campaign estimates that it has reached well over eight million Americans.
Biola University, at which Harp’s father Bob Harp served as Executive Director of Biola’s Office of Innovation until his death in 2021, is located a bit northeast of Anaheim (Disneyland). The school strongly represents the “deeds” part of this branch of Christianity.
In this sense, Harp has achieved the pinnacle of “deeds” penetration, operating directly with the Great Cyrus reincarnate. It is also clear that every spy agency on the planet is aware of this. And like some others directly Trump-adjacent, she has no security clearance.
This stuff is so weird that normal reporters probably find it hard to grasp, yet Southern California has long had its kooky cults. Heaven’s Gate (shoutout to San Diego), Scientology, Rev. Moon’s thing, as well as the more normie Exodus3, 7th Day Adventists, Foursquare, and several megachurches. Given Harp’s pedigree and her odd behavior, one has to wonder what she sees as her ultimate mission. Making a few lines of the Book of Revelations come to pass?
Hope for Prisoners founder Ponder arrested for sexual assault and more • Nevada Current
Jon Ponder, a three-time bank robber who was pardoned by President Donald Trump, was arrested Tuesday by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police on nine felony counts and 11 gross misdemeanors. The charges include sexual assault and sexual abuse of a prisoner by an employee, contractor, or volunteer.
Other charges against Ponder include multiple counts of unauthorized contact with prisoners, attempted coercion that is sexually related, and open and gross lewdness.
List of felons who have reoffended after Donald Trump pardons
- Clemency Backlash: At least 20 individuals pardoned by Trump have been charged with new crimes, highlighting concerns over recidivism among former convicts and Capitol rioters.
- Notable Cases: Key figures include Jon Ponder (sexual assault), Andrew Paul Johnson (child molestation), and Zachary Alam (home invasion), showing a pattern of serious offenses post-pardon.
- Wider Impact: Among more than 1,500 pardoned Capitol rioters, 97 have faced new criminal charges, with some cases suggesting clemency may have enabled further criminal activity.
Natalie Harp’s brother reveals Trump is not the first president she has been infatuated with
“I’d say since she was, like, 16, she’s had an obsession with, um, gosh, how do I explain this? Um, she’s written letters to other presidents, let me put it that way. And so like, her dream came true, finally,” he said.
He then revealed that Natalie had sent letters to George W. Bush, though he was unsure of their contents
“Well, my mom raised us with the idea that American exceptionalism was the correct way of looking at things, that the United States is the boss of the world, that slavery, back then that was normal. People weren’t bad, because they had slaves, honestly. And it’s like, Trump wants to take all those books out of schools, he wants to re-write history,” Preston said.
“And so, I think that my sister, unfortunately, didn’t break out of that delusion that my mom raised us with, and Trump is like everything that my mom taught us to respect. I think that’s where her infatuation for Trump comes from, honestly, because I don’t think it’s a physical attraction. Let’s get real,” he added.
BTW: Stage 2 bone cancer, which means the cancer is still limited to the bone, is treatable with good prospects of long-term remission. Yet she has described her treatment and recovery as a miracle. We don’t know the details. In 2019 she asserted to Fox News that she had stage 2 bone cancer and that Trump’s change in the law on access to experimental treatments had saved her. WP has challenged this story, including the details about failed chemo. Instead, this seems to follow a narrative developed in 2018 at her alma mater Liberty University.
When I was 16, I had a friend that was crazy about going to these “Jesus Freak” things because he got so much “poon”. Not knowing a whole lot about poon at that age, I tagged along with his group to an arena-sized affair in Bakersfield complete with the speaking in tongues and rolling around on the floor. The final tableau was a young girl, about 10, who had been wheelchair-bound for most of her life due to polio or something. The preacher threw out the demons and shouted and everybody made weird noises and hallaylooyahs and she stood up, shaky, fell over and two assistants grabbed her and righted her. The preacher then backed off ten paces, told Satan to get lost, and asked her to walk to him. It was an eternity, the whole place was silent, but then she made her first step, and then another and finally fell into the preacher’s arms! A miracle. No poon that trip, so we decided to hit up the same revival three weeks later in Orange County. Again I got to see the same girl shake off Satan and walk for the first time. I was disappointed that the stunt worked as good on these folks as it did in Bakersfield. These are Harp’s peeps.
And we probably never will. The HIPAA law would prevent journalists from digging into her story, so it’s basically her word alone about what happened. Anyway, it’s just a side issue that might help explain her obsession with Trump.
The more important story coming out now is her lack of security clearance, which Democrats in Congress should be hammering daily. Also what’s her job description for that $150,000 salary? Those are both legit questions and not personal attacks.
