……but his geopolitical views are paying off
Mrs VH told me that Krogers has now absorbed Albertsons and Safeway in its amoeboid depredations.
Unless we can amend the constitution, one of the few paths forward is playing the game and working to change state legislatures blue. At least in purple states like PA, AZ, et. al. I hold no hope open for the Deep South and the Heartland unless their voters have some en masse Damascene conversion to the Democratic Party.
I have two choices now: Either a Kroger store or Walmart or drive 10 or 12 miles to a different store, it sucks balls.
And less amateur diplomating.
Yeah, dress-up cop is better cosplay than dressing up as a “hospital executive” – which he has also claimed to be . He said he owns 6 or so hospitals (not)…
Cleese ain’t what he used to be. Or is he? If one wanted to deconstruct his history in comedy we might be shocked. He’s got a show on a British right wing site these days.
After following him on twitter for a few years I believe he is.
Kudos to Mrs. VH – that’s some pretty fancy talkin’ there.
I’m not sure. I’ve noted a tendency towards very awkward positions on political matters. I’m afraid he’s getting a bit senile and cynical. Fits in with Van Morrison and others.
Mehmet apparently wants to get in on some of Donnie’s ‘norm busting’ action.
Rather than going for the taboos of Washington and the country’s mass media, however, he’s decided to go after the commonplace taboos of everyday life.
Presumably, the next step is to suggest that feces should be gathered and used as fertilizer.
I’m hopeful this won’t end well for him.
Not even close.
I think the ‘law and order’ party would be down with that, as they may still favor doing away with Miranda warnings, as long as they’re not the suspect.
Perhaps we could add some salt to the solution they call home.
Oh, I think that “Alfredo Bedoya” might be one of the 12 “alters” (short for alternate personalities) Walker has said that he had. Alfonso Bedoya was the actor…
Walker said he had 12 alternate personalities — or alters — including the warrior (who played football), the sentry (who avoided emotional attachments) and the thrill seeker (who played Russian roulette with a loaded gun).
This guy is completely incapable of serving in public office. Not because he “had” a mental illness, but because he is a serious danger to self and others.
I have two local grocery store chains, Schnucks and Dierbergs. And lucky for me they’re just a mile apart. I was raised as a Schnuck’s customer, my Mon always said that Dierbergs was more expensive. And I’ve found that to be true, but they also have items that Schnucks doesn’t carry, or the brand that Dierbergs carries is better than the brand Schnucks carries.
I’m still trying to figure this milk prices out. A few weeks ago I was in Derbergs, and while I was picking up a few things decided to get a gallon milk. I went to the cooler, opened the door to pull out a gallon of skim milk and was stopped by the price, $5.99 a gallon.
Then I realized that the price was for the brand name diary. So they were out of the store brand which was $3.79. I went back to Schnucks which had their store brand in stock. But then I realized that each grocery store uses a different diary. Still trying to figure out how anyone justifies spending $2.20 more a gallon when the store brand milk comes from the same diary?
