It’s been an eventful week for the Trump clan.
To say nothing of the various antediluvian calamities battering the country, a potential bombshell is headed toward the family in the form of a book written by a former friend of Melania Trump’s, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, due out next week.
I want felony descriptions, not whimsical anecdotes.
I’ll go out on a limb and say it was a bunch of crooks skimming money out of a big pot with a series of barely-plausible transactions.
What do I win?
Wolkoff reportedly taped her conversations with the first lady.
DC and New York State have ‘one party consent’ laws.
There is NO doubt in my mind that as soon as Rump loses in November (regardless of when he actually leaves) certain things will happen:
Ivanka takes over as CEO of Trump, Inc. and does her damnedest to reinvent the co. She’ll hire as many lawyers as possible to protect whatever assets are left
Melania separates herself and their son away from the crime family for good
Uday and Qusay lawyer up and pretend that they and their father have made America great again…again and where’s their appreciation, huh??? Because Hunter Biden something.
I also don’t doubt that there are tapes with other participants as well.
This book has already unveiled one shocking revelation. Melania has a friend.
So does Donald trump.

Let me guess. Trump lied, and he cheated, and he stole money, and he lied again.
Oh yes - and there isn’t one single Republican that gives a shit.
Remember all those people who surreptitiously recorded their conversations with Obama, because they expected (1) that they would need the recordings to protect themselves from vicious backstabbing attacks later, and/or (2) that there would be fabulous dirt that they could parlay into a lucrative book deal?

How many books before September is over. Trump may have given the publishing industry a shot of adrenaline.
After a night-time visit from Hillary’s goons, they agreed that all copies of the tapes in exchange for keeping their kneecaps was a really fair deal after all.
It’s a very safe bet Trump and his cronies skimmed millions from the inauguration, along with others padding their bills. Why the House Dems have not mounted an investigation into this since taking over the majority in 2018 is shameful. And if they have and they’ve kept it under wraps it’s too bad they’re not making hay of it, publicly, leading up to the election.
Financial legerdemain and corruption are endemic in this country. Call me cynical but I can’t recall any serious much less systematic prosecutions of ‘white-collar’ crime since the 1980’s S&L debacle. Until the powerful are as bound by law as everyone else and until everyone else is as protected by law as the powerful this country cannot be whole much less live up to its founding promise.
Is there not a single solitary atom-sized particle of the Trumpverse that isn’t besotted in toxic sludge?
