Trans kids were at a high risk of murder/suicide before this latest trumped-up crusade. In 2001 a 16 year-old high-school student - a Navajo two spirit - from Cortez CO was beaten to death. His murderer served just 17 years, released in 2018. http://archive.cortezjournal.com/archives/1news1479.htm.
