Never Mind! WH Swiftly Walks Back Email Detailing Eviction Instructions | Talking Points Memo

Limits on what federal employees can receive. Basically anything more than a coffee mug, they either have to give it up to the government, or pay fair market value if they want to keep it.

I don’t think so. The President’s pardon authority is the closest thing to absolute power written into the Constitution. It’s never been successfully challenged (that I’m aware of), and the precedent for a preemptive blanket pardon was set by Ford’s pardon of Nixon.

If Trump tries a self-pardon – and I think he will, because why the hell not, it doesn’t cost him anything – the WH counsel can just say he advised Trump that it was untested waters and might not work.

Marsha Blackburn is exponentially nauseous.

I’ve been convinced for days, despite pushback from naysayers, that Trump is eventually going to do something that almost everyone finds shocking, despite the level of numbness we’re all at after 4 years of his horseshit. We could all speculate what it’ll be, but whatever it is it’ll be a doozy.

Trump also nonsensically touted in a video he tweeted on Tuesday night that perhaps the next administration ā€œwill be me.ā€

Delusional until the end. Walk him to the Atlantic’s edge and say, ā€œGo. Start swimming.ā€

Never thought I’d post something from this horse’s ass:

Oh, I’ve never doubted that he’ll try. I’m just more optimistic than you that his attempt will fall flat on its face.

They will take the J, R, B, K, D and H keys off of every keyboard as souvenirs .

My guess? Barr declined to participate in the inevitable self-pardon, not to mention for the rest of the family, the Trump Org and all of its component entities, Allen Weisselberg, Paul Manafort, Rudy Giuliani, and MBS.

Rather like Trump’s defeat, your disdain for her is ā€œhistorically, mathematically, politically, and logically impossible.ā€

That would be mighty liberal of him.

Yeah. That new video that was posted yesterday is kinda menacing. He really believes all of his accusations.

Oh, but of course he’ll say it’ll take until November to do it, and that he has to remain in office while it is set up.

Maybe someone can drop a bunch of flyers there for staffers: ā€œMeet Your Capitol Police!ā€

A President possesses a lot of power. For example, everyone in the intelligence and military community agrees Iran’s nuclear program represents a threat, at least to some degree, in the near and far term. Would a commander really refuse the order to attack nuclear sites in Iran? On what basis? That there was no military justification? That it was an illegal order?
That’s just one example of mayhem Trump could instigate and pretty much everyone would just have to bite their tongue and live with the goddamned consequences. What mechanism exists to stop that order?

If we got a rerun would that mean we’d get another chance to change Congress?

I’m sure Biden would win again and we just might win if we did it over. hahahahahahaha Can you imagine what they’d do if that happened? ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Let’s play along then…

So he declares whatever from the WH, who exactly is supposed to implement such orders?

The FBI
The US Military Establishment
The Space Force
Local Police Precincts
Local Sherriff Department in such jurisdiction

Who will step forward to implement a certified COUP D’ETAT against the United States of America?

Oh, I’ve been expecting an iranian adventure for a while. Would have plenty of support in the military for that. Wouldn’t help him stay in office, though. Would just be some fun bombing on the way out.

You mean ā€œform to purchase a pardonā€
