Today’s Heather and Paul:

Sara Seager and Jacqueline Pless of MIT and Mark Duggan of Stanford have fled their faculty positions to join the faculties of the University of Toronto. This follows the exodus of 3 Yale professors earlier this year to the University of Toronto: Timothy Snyder, Jason Stanley and Marci Shore.
That makes 6 top scholars from our top schools who have moved north to join one Canadian school’s faculty since TFS’ inauguration. Just one school, six of our best.

How do you know your country is in deep shit trouble? Its best people are the first out the door.

The six defendants – which include state GOP chairman Michael McDonald, vice chair Jim Hindle and the Republican National Committeeman Jim DeGraffenreid – were all quietly given preemptive pardons by President Trump a week ago. None of them have been charged federally.
… … … … …
How can trump pardon someone before the fact?

Spanky cat is on his computer. Mebbe he will figure it out…

I’m sure that after he’s convicted a 3rd time and sentenced to 50 years, he will pardoned (I mean, commuted last time, let’s try something new). The grift is strong in this one.

She had her tribal papers on her. She’s been arrested by this department more than once. Somehow, they attached another person’s file to hers. Her mother camped outside with her birth certificate until she was released.

The sheriff’s response?

Lt. Mark Chance, a spokesman for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, which oversees the jail, said the ICE detainer was a result of “human error” and was intended for a different detained person. He called it a “silly” mistake and said internal discussions would be held to prevent it happening again in the future.

Haha, so silly!

Everything is staged, everything is a lie: a corroboratory observation:

Performance and fabulism. S’all they got.

Also, J.D. has short fingers too. Occupational hazard?

What’s the point of an opposable thumb when your fingers are this short?

That’s it for now. Ciao!

In a major coverup, internal government watchdog were fired en masse in recent weeks after looking into whether Pulte had improperly accessed the personal mortgage records of prominent Democrats.

How often does one trick pony get to pull this trick? If “watchdogs” can be fired by the people they are watching, it seems we are trapped in bizarro world with zero recourse…over and over again.

The numbers are astounding. The market values Palantir at more than $400 billion — a sum that dwarfs those conventional military companies, though they have far greater revenue. For example, in the stock market’s eyes, Lockheed Martin is worth about 75 percent less than Palantir — although Lockheed, a global giant in the manufacturing of aircraft, missiles, helicopters and spacecraft, had about 19 times the revenue of Palantir in their most recent fiscal years, according to FactSet, a financial data firm.

In related news from the Wild Kingdom….

A Pennsylvania man was shot in the back by his own dog, police say. Officers from the Shillington Police Department in Berks County said they are still investigating the incident, which left the man in the hospital. According to the 53-year-old, he had been cleaning his firearm and placed it on the bed. He then sat on the bed, and the dog hopped up on it too. The gun discharged, and the man received injuries to his lower back. The dog “jumped onto the bed and set the gun off,” an officer said, according to ABC News. Police received reports of shots being fired at 11:13 p.m. on Tuesday. The man’s son and two other dogs were in the house at the time, although they were not in the room when the shooting occurred. When medics brought the man to the hospital, he “immediately went into surgery for his injuries,” officials said. On Wednesday, doctors said he was headed for a second surgery. The man’s current condition is not clear.

No cat would do that.
