Hmmmm…with NC’s positivity rate at 6.16%, it’s hardly the best time to lower social distancing guidelines…BUT MUST support the Orange Covidiot!

“Gatherings of up to 63 million people will be allowed at the Republican Convention. At the conclusion of the convention, doors will be locked and all inhabitants left there until no covid cases have been detected for 14 days.”

The eradication of COVID-19 could easily begin with the commander-in-chief demonstrating proper practices to prevent the spread of the virus.

He refuses to do it, and his enabler‘s all understand that he refuses to do it.

They are all complicit, and all need to be voted out.

Since so far the GOP seems to be seeing the majority of infections, sure - let in as many as want to be there. Works for me.

Except for all the front line workers and first responders who have to deal with the aftermath.

I just chuckled at this one because it’s yet another example of how little the GOP gave a shit about the death of Herman Cain. You’d think that after the death of such a prominent GOPer, one of the few Black people who’ll have anything to do with the party, that they’d at least pretend to act responsibly, but they can’t even do that much.

Looks like Covid aid talks have collapsed. For now.

Reporter asks NP if she’s “overplayed her hand.” I fucking despise these members of the press who treat politics as a game - a sports contest. Nancy educates.

Pelosi on negotiations with Republicans: “We’re not overplaying our hand when we are factually presenting what the needs are for our families, for our teachers, for our schools, for ending the virus … This is life and death … This isn’t about bickering.”

the unique interests and needs of the convention

Uh huh. That translates to death wish.

At this point the trumpedimic is so far out of control they have no idea how to make the convention safe.

This is one of those cases where the word “Statesman/Stateswoman” comes into play. Knight, Lady…Nancy has the needs of the people as her validation.

Yeah. I mean this is not a poker tournament or the Dodgers vs The Giants where the consequences of losing don’t effect the lives of millions. Find another bleeding metaphor. The sports/games one is well past it’s useby date.
