Now that the states that were key to Biden’s win are certifying their results, and not showing major issues with the election that might cast doubt on the result, there’s very little room for Republicans to claim fraud anymore. The Republicans have seen the writing on the wall for a couple weeks, they just don’t want to anger the Trump base by bowing to reality. The time is up for that though, the election is over and Biden has won, and that’s been confirmed every possible way now…if they continue to say that Trump won they know that they are choosing nonsense.
Note that it’s retired Republicans like Christie and in office politicians like Hogan saying this though…we’re not seeing a flood of others admitting the truth. That bodes very badly for the future…may people thought that the Republican party would shake off the racist Trump supporters once he lost, but I think they now realize that they need to keep it up in order to keep the really extreme voters engaged and voting, otherwise the rest of the nation will swamp them. The situation is actually worse now than it was, and as long as a segment of America continues to insist on creating a white Christian theocracy we’re in for a lot of agony.
Conservative media in disarray? I’ll bet they never saw this day coming, and it’s probably why Charles Koch is having some agita. It just sucks when you bring down a democracy for tax cuts you don’t even need.
Ok Chris, it’s time for an intervention. Gather together enough of Trump’s family and close associates to confront him with the uncomfortable truth that his current wacknut legal team is not working.
