Didn’t Netflix just ban Gone With The Wind?

There were predictions that Denny’s would be driven out of business because they buckled to the feds and stopped discriminating against Black diners. Sometimes you have to outwait your adversaries…

Take the flag away from the owners? A riot will surely ensue. People will get hurt too.

Racers - start your timers … how long before …

Trump Demands NASCAR reinstate Confederate Flags …

Everyone says change can be slow, and the last time there was a controversy like this the Confederate flag disappeared from some places people wondered how far it would go. Here we are again, and it’s leaving more places, and NASCAR is a big one. Maybe this time the change really is going to be bigger, if the momentum keeps up it could even be fundamental…though it is probably going to take electing Biden and a Democratic Senate to really make the big changes that are long overdue.

I’m sure we’ll see a total meltdown over this from Trump and the right wingers, and it will be delicious to point out that they are arguing to fly the flag of traitors and losers.

I thought it was HBO. Incidentally, my father would not let my brother or me watch Gone with the Wind. He was from Virginia and felt the film maligned the South.

But still I ask, how will thy enforce it? Posting signs, announcing it over the PA? There will be more flags than ever displayed.

Fine, you ask them to put it away or be escorted from the track. Those tickets aren’t cheap. By the way, what’d I do? I’m not NASCAR or even close.

Did it just suddenly get cold in Hell today?

“Wuh-huh, thankyaverrymuch”

…and build up enough economic clout that you and your friends represent more business than the discriminators want to lose.

That’s right, “DrakesPopPop.” They’re dancing in the streets of Antifaville, the capital city of Antifaland.

Now if we could just do something about Stone Mountain

it is important to note that the stakes are getting raises by all of this focus - who ever wins - wins big (but will have a mess to clean up ) and who ever loses - well it is going to leave a serious mark … this is not going to be just a tiff that gets swept away and the country carries on like it all did not happen.

If structural elements of Racial inequality are going to be dismantled - it better be now - because if not it will take a long time before you get this much pressure built up to such a level again

I had a little argument with someone over whether James Bird was lynched or not. I suggested he go fuck himself. The first part of this was that he claimed no one has been lynched in forty years so why make a law against it now? Dumbfuck

Sponsors must have really started to complain and threaten to withdraw. Companies like Lowe’s, Fed Ex, GEICO, and M&Ms/Mars Candies can’t afford the bad press when they are all trying to show support for racial justice. There will be blowback from some fans, but the NASCAR guys aren’t stupid. The fans don’t pay the bills.

Yep.

Let’s see how they enforce the “ban.”

I’ve only ever seen close up images of that. Separate from why it’s there, It looks kind of stupid as a “work of art“.
