Napolitano has been like this for quite awhile. At least a year. I don’t watch Fox but he’s been reposted on Rawstory every day for at least a year with anti-Trump pieces from Fox that are simply correct on the law. He stays with the law and has for awhile.

His piece is a pretty good summary of why what Trump’s been doing is both criminal
and impeachable. If you want to get a sense of the Trump universe, read the comments on the Fox site. All character assassination. No substantive counter arguments. At most, you get comments along the lines of —I read the transcript and that’s not what it said. So there.

Well, I guess that means Faux can’t afford to lose all of their audience with all this hubbub about impeachment. I just don’t think this has anything to do with some form of reality breaking through to any of these numbnuts giving them honestly a sincere change of heart. I think its just purely based on a business decision on their part.
The cynic in me has watched these fuckers pull back before. I don’t see Faux going full never-tRumper so from where I sit…who gives a shit how they tear themselves apart trying to play both sides against the middle. They still plan to make book on whatever outcome occurs. Sorry but ethics and morality have never been part of Faux’s number one concern.

Thanks. I don’t watch TV (especially Fox–I’ve been known to ask patients to use the mute when I’m in their rooms) so all I know about these folks is what I read here. Was he a Never-Trumper, akin to Jennifer Rubin, or did he start out pro?

He started out more or less pro but when things started to seriously diverge toward the criminal, he stuck with the law. He didn’t go after Trump, he has just stood up for the law.

I recall that Foxy News personalities frequently strut and audition for Preshitident Skanky-Manslut’s attention and affections on their show.
Likewise, at least one of Trump’s dirty children left his family and began sleeping with a Foxy News personality get better coverage for his dad.
Maybe another child can focus on sleeping with Napolitano to get him to quiet down. Else, Lara Trump who is President Skanky’s fixer, thug, procurer and bag lady could show up with a contract and a bag with cash.
Lol - Donald Trump has us Dems saying things like, “Judge Napolitano has a good point.” And “I was reading an op ed by Bill Kristol and he said something I really agree with.”

Absolutely! There are people who are horrible yet intelligent enough to know when to cut bait and CYA. Then there are people who are horrible and horribly stupid. The former understand that there is a point in any scheme where you grab your coat and hat and walk away. The latter speeds right past that point and typically only realize it once they’re in handcuffs or about to meet their maker. I suspect Napolitano is the kind who knows when it’s time to head for the door. I suspect a number of people currently protecting Trump fall in that category too. But Trump, Rudy, as well as a host of others won’t know it until they’re in cuffs.

This is Fox trying to have it both ways…they have someone pointing out Trump’s illegal behavior while most of the rest of the Fox crew are still on Trump’s side (and some attack the judge for pointing out the law). If things go south for Trump, they can have everyone point at Napolitano and say “see, we were right about Trump!” and act like the rest of their behavior was just being fooled by Trump. The pivot will come when you start to hear someone else repeat the judge in one of the prime hours, until then he’s just there for “balance”.
It could be worse…some conservatives are starting to use OAN as their go to news source, and as far as I can tell there is nothing but propaganda there. Trump finally has the propaganda arm that other dictators have, and that he was jealous of…
