It’s not really inside baseball. “Susan Collins voted for Kav promising he wouldn’t vote to out law abortion, but Kav voted to nearly outlaw abortion the first opportunity he got.” That’s all anyone needs to say.
Asked about Trump’s pandemic response in early April, [Collins] made some criticisms, but ultimately said Trump “did a lot that was right in the beginning.”
Ultimately, I think this statement is far more damaging than any other. It will come back to haunt her again and again.
