Buh-bye.
So goddam sick of this. We should not tolerate this in our leaders. IDGAF that the GOP does it. We are better than them in every way. Unless we continue to put up with this.

Ah. Bye, cuomo.

Would the legislature impeach him before an investigation was concluded? Doesn’t seem likely.

I thought AOC was busy saving the whales?

No, not before an investigation, I agree.

Dead man walking…

Cuomo is going to issue a statement at 1PM.

I thought she was shaving Wales…

Cuomo’s not going anywhere of his own accord. Normal human emotions–shame, culpability, embarrassment, self-reflection–are alien to him, even by the standards of politicians. He’s going to have to be removed.

Totally agree.

It might be best for everyone to back off, keep quiet and let the the investigation arrive at its conclusions. I don’t want him to resign either. I credit him with saving the spirits of many of us who were in state of borderline despair one year ago. He showed us leadership and I think he deserves the benefit of a complete and fair investigation without people piling on like DiBlasio, Nadler, and AOC.

Why? She shaves.

A lot of the folks doing the piling on are not concerned with Cuomo’s behavior.
They are concerned with their own political futures and trying to up their public profiles at his expense.

He may well resign, and he may be guilty—but not one of us knows the truth and not waiting for an investigation to be completed is an incredibly slipshod way of dealing with this issue.

Nadler’s on it. We’ll be getting those tax returns any day now.

I remember when Rudy Giuiliani lifted spirits after 9-11.

In other cases, where the person denies everything, absolutely.

Here, cuomo has admitted to the bulk of the behavior, just claimed that he was joking and people misunderstood him.

Which means it’s entirely fair and not a rush to judgment on whether that pattern of behavior is okay in the modern workplace.

Cuomo is going to do what he’s going do. (I love tautologies: they are always true.) That said, Cuomo knows what the investigation is going to uncover (I don’t, and I’m not making a prediction). We all know what the testimony of at least five of the witnesses/victims will be (one is still anonymous and may or may not testify). If there are no extremely credible rebuttal witnesses for Cuomo he’s gone. He may choose to save himself the indignity by resigning.

Or, being a typically combative New Yorker he may choose to fight it out. It’s his life and his choice.
