Instead, as voters in her state weigh in on Amendment One, which would ban both same-sex marriage and civil unions, Perdue said the measure should be rejected because it strips away basic rights. “Today is not about that, Chuck, it’s about simply trying to not approve an amendment that pushes North Carolina backwards,” Perdue said.
