It is possible that a Gore administration might have done some things different, but in all likelihood the 9/11 attacks would still have occurred. I think the response to it would have been dramatically different, particularly with regards to the Bush administration’s eagerness to get its war on in Iraq and basically smash the middle-east up in a stupid quixotic PNAC vision of reshaping the region and the globe, which I do not for a second think would have occurred under a Gore administration.
