It makes me fucking sick…and the brush strokes with which the press paints the picture to the public are of voting security and not the purpose of these heinous anus voting laws to suppress the fundamental tenant of our government…voting.

We’ve been aware of ALEC for some time but it is surprising how little attention the action arm of Heritage Foundation, Heritage Action, has been getting for doing much of the same kind of work. These folks like to call themselves advocates but that’s just a polite name for lobbyist. They don’t try to hide particularly but they do know how to stay below the radar and work in the dark.

It’s a double-whammy. A 1-2 punch. Hell there is probably an even shadier Level III and IV we haven’t ever heard of yet.
Much like the truth not getting it’s pants on before a lie travels half-way around the world. Good govt. and Dems and decent people everywhere have a hard time organizing and fighting the corruption, grifting, and 24/7 Three Shifts around the clock forces that these lobbyists, industry groups, Heritage Foundation, and Federalist Society types have going. It is a well-oiled machine and can be totally separate of the campaigning cash approach for candidates and winning elections…and thus separate even from whether Republicans win office and get policy changes because they actually have support/voters. These folks get what they want out of govt., when they want it, and how they want it without any fuss/muss/hard work or fanfare or accountability…or even any press/public knowledge/media attention. It is fugging ungodly how easy and profitable and the ROI is extreme.
Two different paradigms. One is dedicated to doing the right things the right way and strapped to ethics and the long process…the other uses the inherent and nearly inconquerable EASY BUTTON, of shortcuts fed by corruption that opens every back door and allows every dirty trick. Aside from never getting caught and never paying a price…nobody even knows it is happening except the grifting class insiders. How you going to fight this?

Yes, exactly. They are too averse to governing, to work, to accountability. They outsource it all. When your voting base does not care what you do, and your funding base is corporations and lobbyist types (and now insurrectionists and Burn It All types)…you don’t need to do anything except make it look ‘legit’ or hide it completely.

Which makes it all the more shocking that Heritage doesn’t take credit for the ACA. And although I believe ultimately single payer is the only solution. It turns out their market based solutions sometimes although more expensive aren’t as bad as nothing at all. So that they preferred to pretend that a market based solution for health insurance was a liberal idea instead of taking a policy win even though it smore expensive than it needs to be and doesn’t cover enough people. But they are just like dark side villains. It’s terrifying. Like the borg or something. Just consuming everything and attempting to get rid of it and deny it if they don’t get it.
And they are still winning. They still run things. They are still in power. They are now writing laws that say schools can’t talk about racism and White supremacy. Laws. They always impose laws while accusing us of “cancelling” things because they don’t like the consequences of what the policies they choose and the things they support says about them.
