Louis Gohmert begs to differ with you.
The police who turned against the Myanmar military
As Myanmar heads towards a new civil war, the BBC hears from police officers who defected after the coup.
Louis Gohmert begs to differ with you.
SUED?Least of your worries…are you a criminal? We are going to find out…
No offense to anybody here but Alabama may be the most retrograde of all the states.
With any luck, Mo will drop by for a test-fling on my delightful device that Combines the brutality of a beheading with the spectacle of a pumpkin toss™ — the one and only Trebutine®.
BTW If you’re wondering, as a US Senator he will not be eligible for severance pay.
So Brooks thinks it’s too much to say he didn’t do shit? He’s going to try and hide behind immunity? Mo knows if he has to give a deposition, it’s over.
One thing for sure: he’s a national disgrace.
That too, of course. Thanks for thinking of it!
Carter is everything that Trump is not. Trump may very well be incapable of even imagining the myriad ways in which Carter is better than him.

severance pay.
I see what you did there.
Let the tumbrels roll!
What’s over? If, in acting as a federal employee representing his constituency, Brooks believes (whether correctly or not) that he must lie to federal investigators, clearly () he is immune from charges of perjury or any other damn thing anyone might want to hold him accountable for. Being a federal employee means it’s all a free ride. WHEEEEE! (If only Hillary had known.)
Coward. At least defend your position. But instead, he runs away. Again, coward.
Never mind patriotism. Legalism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.
Remember when General [ret.) Benedict Arnold Flynn was saying “hey, why can’t we be like Myanmar?”
As Myanmar heads towards a new civil war, the BBC hears from police officers who defected after the coup.
Why not, indeed.
(If only Hillary had known.)
Every one of those messages on that server was sent or received while acting in her capacity as a government employee. Prove me wrong, Brooks.
In their brilliant legal minds I’ve no doubt inciting an insurrection is clearly wrong, but only if Democrats attempt it.
Heh, it’s fine to overthrow the government if you’re a Republican, but if you’re liberal then any protests should be met with violence, from police, counter protestors, or random citizens who drive through the protest. Their logic is impeccable.
Look, it has been proven that the true GOP Trumpster, will believe ANYTHING.
I expect to hear any day now that a close reading of the constitution proves that America should be a one party system and that the Republican party is that party. Some of our original textualists on the Supreme Court are hard at work on this now, the effort is being lead by Clarence Thomas assisted by Amy Barrett.
I don`t think most atheists (here or anywhere) think Christianity precludes being a decent human being. But some popular interpretations and practices do if they impose certain strict and narrow morality on other people. Jimmy was the first Pres I voted for and his brand of religion never bother me, even if I think believing in a supernatural entity with a fondness for humanity is absurd.
You make humanity sound like a buffet when you put it that way.
Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) demanded his dismissal from a federal lawsuit alleging that he helped incite the mob behind the deadly Capitol insurrection on Jan. 6, arguing that he can’t be sued because he was acting as a federal employee while vowing to challenge the election results hours before the attack.
Hmmmn? That is an argument?
Your honor, when I was helping those bank robbers take over the bank I was acting as the bank manager so I shouldn’t be held liable.
That’s about the long and the short of it: Brooks is claiming he was exercising his job while attempting to overturn the governing system he swore to protect.
It’s mind bending.
