Yes. One lesson I learned from my dad that has stuck with me is this: Life is better when you respect the fellow you see in the mirror.
Ha. Mo doesn’t like it when someone else is “takin’ names and kickin’ ass.”
Haha. Mo doesn’t like it when someone else is “takin’ names and kickin’ ass.”
Apparently TPM isn’t ready for service either?
Got message saying my comment was too similar to previous one, then it double posted.
I have heard that.
Yep. I’ve never regretted being gracious about a thing, or doing what was right, or standing up for myself. Sometimes, even often, there’s no practical reward. It’s like Calvin Trillin’s father told him, "You might as well be a mensch."
Rest assured, Mo Brooks will eventually be served.
The good news is the legal process is working to hold this vile bigoted insurrectionist leader accountable.
Just as good, Moe Brooks will soon be in court, as a plaintiff in a public case that will showcase his leadership role in the deadly insurrection at the same time he is running for the Senate.
Consider the brain power that would have powered the Trump junta if the insurrection had succeeded: Mo Brooks, Giuliani, some dude with a Confederate flag, Trump himself. The junta would have been like a store that has its grand opening and going-out-of-business sale on the same day.
But Brooks’ role in the Insurrection is a feature, not a bug in Alabama.
right on! you go, dt
Would that mean the server has to dress up in a land shark costume for accuracy?
I think I’d like it better if you changed “the” to “a”.
Yes.
OK, let me stop you right there …
From “kick ass and take names” to “hide from process servers like a pusillanimous simp”.
Party of law and order my ass.
My hope, and admittedly it is a hope, is that even if his ilk can glide through in Alabama that the overall messaging to voters across the county is that the current incarnation of the Republican Party is not to be trusted.
Because they aren’t until they face their fascist tendencies head-on and reform themselves.
Flattery will get you nowhere.
I recall Brooks exhorting others to start “taking down names and kicking ass” on January 6th. What inspiring courage he is now showing in hiding his name and hauling ass.
He’s not the office. That may have applied in his first term as a Rep, but those days are over, now, Respect is earned. He deserves no respect. Prison, yes. Respect, no.
