I’m sure the activity that gets practiced the most in this administration is the :roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes:
I just hope the federal employee health insurance covers eye care.

He should be in jail already for breaking the law concerning Trump’s tax returns. I wouldn’t give this POS any slack on any subject whatsoever.

I get the secrecy, because right now, I’m trying to remember how Trump initially copped Secret Service protection.

I know it involved him mouthing off to El Chapo, but there are other things that occurred before that.

Anyhow, back to Daniels vs. Sammy (AEW Dynamite).

One more reason : whoever is the next House Chair running Secret Service oversight, that person is going to wanna get some of those $ back from Trump.

So which public interest group like American Oversight is going to file a FOIA for this report?
(and may I just add God bless these groups, they’re getting the goods)

the administration would like to delay the Secret Service requirement until after the 2020 election.

So they can provide a grand total of how much extra luxury we paid for.

God knows Republicans aren’t paying taxes.

“Even if it’s your dough, it is only provided on a knead-to-know basis.” Such a half-baked response.

Well congress could have demanded a few things before releasing the funding.

Openness with government spending is a good thing. If it involves legitimate secret activities it can be reviewed by people with the proper clearance. To stonewall or issue a blanket blocking of the disclosure of the spending is not legitimate. It is a cover up.

Mnuchin really needs to disclose and get to work. We all remember what a shit-show it was when Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson found out there was no money after the Bear Stearns collapse. Who knew, the former Goldman Sachs partner argued, that defaults on mortgage-backed securities would take down the global financial system, or at least provide a massive systemic shock?

At the moment, Mnuchin should be asking some relevant questions before the government, as lender of last resort, has to start taking privately incurred debt onto the public ledger. Where could a shock come from this time around given the connectedness of global financial markets? Could a shock from China or Brazil onshore here? Or do we just get another collapse of the housing market with paper losses of “homeowner equity”? In any case, Mnuchin is most responsible for prudential stewardship of the nation’s finances and these diversions like preventing the dissemination of public information is not helpful to anybody except Trump himself.

OF COURSE they are… don’t you know there’s an election coming, and we all know that we need the GOP to win since they are the fiscal conservatives. DUH

Impeachment is necessary but not sufficient. Even if the Senate did their damn job, Steve would still have his.

Does Mumbles Mnuchin need to be reminded - again - who has the power of the purse?

Those that have nothing to hide, hide nothing.

What’cha hiding there, Mnucklehead?

Hey, Congress, just give us the money. We ain’t answering any of your stupid questions or telling you how we are spending it.

OK then.

Good to see this article get some legs. It was oddly quiet when first reported on WaPo; now thousands of irate comments.

The bottom line is Dump trashed Obama for travel (almost $100M in 8 years). Dump’s 3 year estimate is $400M, but just a guess since no releases. SS spent $588K on golf cart leases alone (they could have just bought 84 new carts with that money, and recouped half of that by selling when Trump leaves).
