Minimizing Coronavirus Risk, Trump Compares Disease (Again) To Seasonal Flu | Talking Points Memo

A lot of Americans that could have been saved are going to die due to Trump’s (and the GOP’s) dishonestly and incompetence.

I for one am fully on board and endorse Trump’s obvious disease expertise
/sarcasm.

Well in fact, to hell with it, let him keep telling his supporters this, remove any plausible deniability (relative to the non-insane, non-base)

But they’ll have gotten one over on the LibTards. That’s what counts…

The shit thing is I’m not 100% sure they’re making the wrong choice. What executive action do you think Trump would be capable of taking that he would not fuck up and use to make the situation worse?

I don’t mean that as a rhetorical question. I am as certain as ever that he is incapable of wielding executive power in an effective and productive way, full stop.

The only possible action he could take that would help the situation is to resign, and that’s not in the offing.

When he latches on to a counter-argument he will not let go. He truly believe this and there is no point trying to dissuade him. Pestering him with the truth will get you shown the exit door.

It’s like his belief the human body is a battery with so much longevity so why exercise.

So have I. As well as other resources. And has hospitals get overwhelmed, more people will die from other causes…some virus related, but also from non-virus related causes because there is no medical attention available.

Nor is it just about hospitalization, its about quarantines. People that can’t be hospitalized, will have to be cared for at home, thus putting their family members at exposure, who are then putting others at exposure.

They won’t bite the hand that feeds them. These talking heads are in the 0.1% and they drank the coolaid long ago.

Truly, an incomparable bit of idiocy. I can not imagine how he gets from day-to-day without harming himself.

Not to be too picky, but the Coronavirus outbreak is in addition to the normal seasonal flu. People weakened by the flu will be more susceptible to a serious case of the COVID19 infection.

A relatively new line of attack is accusing the Obama Administration of waiting until a thousand Americans were dead before declaring a public health emergency over the 2009 swine flu epidemic:

Doesn’t matter. They will simply gaslight them as things get worse, and erase statements like this from their collective memories. Nobody will have ever had to deal with such a crisis before, and he did it better than anyone evah, past or future…and its all Democrats fault for reasons. The only reason you are able to even hear this defense of him, is because of the heroic steps he took, otherwise you would be dead like all those other millions of losers.

The only way to stop the chaos is to remove Trump from office. The GOP had their chance and they blew it out of selfish political expediency. They are more at fault than Trump. Miscreants and assassins of democracy.

Sez the man with the greatest turnover of WH staff, greatest number of indicted and jailed pals, associates, personal lawyers and even military staff. Greatest number of divorced wives, prostitute liasons, paid abortions, lawsuits lost, businesses failed, etc. of any citizen, let alone President!

A loser, indeed!

And all of them so strangely totally silent through all of this.

Whataboutism isn’t an attack, it’s a distraction. The victims are those who follow the distraction, not those who the distraction refers to.

Yeah - this is not just Trump’s problem. By November, I’m pretty sure even the Republicans are going to be tired of all the winning.
