Curious how words are used with the loons, so now we have the Federal judge assigned to the case by the court system described as “hijacking” the case. It really is a rabbit hole of the most Alice in Wonderland hallucinations that they visualize.

Soo let’s see if we have this straight. The judge has hijacked the case because of the actions of Billy Barr who has hijacked the DOJ.

It’s the GOP way… some hijackings are good.

If you want to talk about hijacking, Barr is first in line for trying to dismiss a case in which the defendant had a already pleaded guilty twice!

I think his right to request an en banc hearing is pretty much uncontestable.

I suppose they feel as if they have to write something, even if writing something is worse than writing nothing.

IANAL, but I find this case odd. Say I murder someone. I plead guilty to doing it, during the course of the investigation and prosecution by the DA. The case leaves the prosecutorial stage and is handed over to a Judge for sentencing. And then the DA tells the Judge to drop the case. We have a dead victim and someone essentially forced to admit guilt due to a preponderance of evidence arrayed against him. WTF is the DA doing demanding the court drop charges? If the case has been adjudicated to the stage an admission of guilt is on record, and it is in the province of the trial judge for sentencing, how the hell does the DOJ demand the clock wind backwards?

Seems to me this specious, silly argument should merit sanctions being imposed on the defense team.
