Interesting. I have a theory that a lot of these people are more or less otherwise normal types, very much on the credulous, excitable side, that guy you know who’s generally OK but don’t get into politics with him because he gets all histrionic, people who’ve been radicalized over the years by political entertainers like Alex Jones and Glenn Beck but are also halfway normal middle-class yutzes. They’ll wave guns and scream and yell and carry on like idiots but the idea of committing crimes and going to jail is unthinkable for them, that’s not who they are. The least stable of them will go over the edge occasionally, but mostly they want to stay free because they don’t want to miss the barbecue their cousin invited them to next weekend. I’m not sure if we’ve seen this mixture of ridiculous playacting and potential danger before exactly, but there are intriguing parallels with the mostly absurd and deluded but in the end stupidly dangerous radicals in Dostoyevsky’s “The Possessed.” And the crybaby dude from Charlottesville comes to mind–so, so dangerous and threatening, at least as he tells it, until it seems there’s a warrant out for something he did and he tells his vlogging camera how wrong it all is, wiping away his terrified little-boy tears. It’s all a bit paradoxical but I think as regards most of them I’ve got my own mind made up.

Honest to God. Not only should every single one of these yahoos be arrested, but for once in their cowardly lives, the Republican Congresscritters should stand up in unison and denounce these actions. TRUMP DID NOT WIN. JOE BIDEN WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT. Period.

She should remember that the people in her state VOTED for that kind of shit. Not just the wack jobs out on her sidewalk but the majority of the pope in Michigan VOTED to allow any nutcase that wanted a gun to have one and wear it right into the States Capitol. As a result there’s not jack shit that can be done about angry nut jobs carrying high powered weapons into the front yard of someone they hate. All legal and all the Cops can do is watch.

Do Michigan’s gun laws state you can legally carry a firearm on to the private property of another person and that person has no legal recourse to prevent or dissuade you from doing so?

I truly hope that Biden’s A.G. makes it their first act to order the States AGs to arrest anyone who creates this type of threat. The government failed to stand up to the Bundys in Nevada which led to the Malheur incident. I am all for the First Amendment, but it is not an unlimited license to incite, intimidate and threaten and it is way past time that people (mostly RWNJs) need to learn the Freedumb has consequences,
