Well, OK, but who do you think tells those American-as-Apple-Pie anti-democratic businesses and oligarchs what to do?
Moscow.
See?

…by abdicating all constitutional responsibilities, entirely.
Trump has obviously never seen tape of Greta speaking. As for anger management problems we need to get Kav and Graham to go out and chillax.
Those warriors for Trump in the House just need to go.
He certainly is making that charge very easy for his opponent.
Seriously, if I go a full day with no obsessive Trump-watching I feel so refreshed I can’t get over it. You have to go long enough to get past the jonesing, of course, and it usually means a busy day so it’s not like chilling at the beach. But at the end, it’s nice just to not have been in the sewer all day. ![]()
I hear you on that. I spent most of last week down in the French Quarter. No sewers at all down there. It really was nice.
They’ll put on a show, a ‘reality’ show.
He’s the angry one. Didn’t like seeing someone else as person of the year and of course he has to make it clear to everyone what a churlish jerk he is when the second-biggest jerk might have had enough self-control to just keep his or her mouth shut.
F U to you and yours.
Nothing matters more to Moscow Mitch than staying in power.
Not the Constitution.
Not the Senate itself.
Not the survival of the Republic.
It’s all about his personal power and destroying the federal court system for a generation or more.
McConnell is far more dangerous to the US than Trump is, and not nearly enough people see that fact.
Any thoughts on potential GOP defectors? I can’t say I’ve seen any indication of this.
McConnell is a chicken shit enabler.
Pretty good breakdown here at 538.
At the same time, there’s nothing saying that Nancy and the House will send anything to the Senate to even have a hearing on.
She can hold on to this as much as she wants - there’s nothing in the rules that says a vote leads to forwarding.
Actually, you know what I’d like to see her do? Announce the vote, get the vote done and then say she’s not sending it to the Senate because the other 400+ bills she’s sent have never seen the light of day on the floor of the Senate, so what’s the rush?
Romney, Murkowski, Gardner, Collins.
Those are the most likely suspects, and there’s not more than a 50/50 chance that they’ll go against McConnell.
That’s the problem. Take away the names from their votes, and there are estimated 20+ votes to convict. Attach their names to their actions, however, and none of them can act with honor, dignity, or constitutional responsibility.
And let’s not forget about his position on bullying children in light of Barron’s name being mentioned in the House hearing. Let’s not forget the shouting on the Right about how awful that was and inappropriate and all the rest of the BS, but not a word about the proliferation of anti-Greta tweets this morning.
I guess the argument could be made that she’s a public figure but Barron isn’t?
Amen. A minority Senate that thwarts the will of the people every single day. The bill “pile up” is a way to subvert the new House Democrats. I really hope someone’s making ads about this - it’s more than three words so it’s challenging for the mouth breathers, but still.
I guess a blind vote is out of the question. Too bad. Profiles in cowardice.
So is most of the GOP Senate. Hell, so is most of the GOP.
