I think medical conditions are off limits. This is nothing to make fun of or celebrate. No, it doesn’t matter what they other guys do, decency calls for people to shut up. If you get off on this just how do you differ from folks like Trump, Abbott and DeSantis who also get off on the misery and misfortune of others

Oh well. I bet he’s got better healthcare than almost everyone here, so maybe he needs to go use some of it…and then maybe retire. I honestly couldn’t give a shit about him. He’s an awful, mean-spirited and spiteful person who has gone out of his way to destroy comity and political norms more than almost anyone else in Congress. I hope we’ll be saying goodbye to him soon.

Maybe he had a small stroke. Shit happens. Why I should care about him when his entire ongoing project in Congress has been to deny and destroy the Democratic party so he can take advantage of being in power…yeah, no. Ain’t happening.

It sounds like either a petit mal epileptic seizure or a transient ischemic attack (TIA, a/k/a ministroke). The seizure is a likely sequel to the concussion earlier this year, and McConnell is an old fart and TIAs aren’t uncommon in that age group.

In either case, you can be sure neither the Turtle nor his staff will be forthcoming about things.

Mitch, Mitch, Mitch–it’s time to retire, sit under your apple tree outside Louisville, and contemplate a lifetime misspent.

He looks like he has lost weight too. There is something other than just the after effects of a concussion going on - there was all that bruising on his face and hands before that.

It sounds like he’s a man without an island. They don’t hate Mitch. They just can’t openly praise him and pat him on the back like they used to for fear of TFG’s wrath coming at them. They are like a bunch of scared little kids afraid to upset their abusive father figure. They embarrass themselves.

Don’t like the guy but, can certainly emphasize. I haven’t seen the video but, people here are saying it’s a stroke which is sad, and can be a long and difficult recovery

Medical conditions, family tragedies, accidents, etc. are generally off limits, because these are circumstances where we as a society need general empathy, otherwise society itself falls apart. It isn’t just the social contract, it’s the fact that we consider each other human that holds society together.
