McConnell’s objection to considering the House bill that would increase COVID relief payments comes as President Trump and some Senate Republicans — which include Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) and David Perdue (R-GA) […] throwing their support behind the bill.
Question for Perdue and Loeffler: If elected, would they support McConnell for Majority Leader?

Why wouldn’t they? What’s the penalty for remaining in the fold, vs. leaving the fold? I don’t think there’s an alternate answer that’s even remotely palatable, politically. Of course they would support McConnell. There’s no drawbacks for doing so.

Why not tell them since the machines flip the votes go ahead and vote, but vote for the Dem candidates so they’ll flip to Republicans?

Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but…it looks to me McConnell has upped the ante. "You want the $2000? Well, you’re going to have to give us these two other things too because “trump has linked these 3 things together.”
In a Senate floor speech, McConnell said he planned to set up a Wednesday vote on the veto override as he outlined three priorities shared by Trump when signing the COVID relief and government spending bill into law Sunday: larger direct payments, Section 230 legal liability protections for internet platforms and unsubstantiated claims about widespread election fraud.
“Those are the three important subjects the President has linked together,” McConnell said. “This week the Senate will begin a process to bring these three priorities into focus.”
Following McConnnell’s speech, Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-NY) requested that the Senate take up the House-passed bill.
Doesn’t seem like a good trade.

The President can certainly punish the Majority leader by cancelling his pet projects or redirecting the money. Things Obama could have done, but you know, he preferred to be nice.

Let’s see if Schumer caves, as normal. Problem is the Dems actually care about people, the Reps are just psychopaths and are likely to shoot the hostage (the additional $1,400) just for funsies.

Haha. Funny. There’s not an ounce of ruthlessness in the Dem party. They are still playing nice when the GOP just are fixated on keeping power, it’s why they continually get their asses handed to them. For some reason they still seem to think the GOP have any position beyond clinging to power, screwing anyone who is white male and old, and shoving the nations’ wealth into the billionaires pockets. There’s no way they’d go after TN like this, unfortunately.
When the house flips in 2022 it’ll be even worse.
