Hopefully they’ve got more than some unreported benefits in kind after all this effort. No one is going to jail over that. Charge some bank or insurance fraud or GFTO. Weisselberg isn’t going to flip so I don’t understand the superseding charges concept.
Three possibilities, ranked in ascending order of likelihood:
Tucker was stupid enough to email one or more foreign intelligence surveillance targets, most likely Russian intelligence assets peddling bullshit about Hunter Biden, and some kind of government employee with no sense of spycraft came crying to Tucker about it.
Tucker found out prosecutors got hold of messages with one of his text-buddies like Gaetz and that shit is coming out in court, so he wants to discredit it in advance.
Tucker knows there’s a bad story coming out that features his emails, possibly sourced to someone on the inside at Fox News, so he wants to discredit it as Deep State stuff in advance so he can keep on supplementing his fish stick inheritance with MyPillow money. So he’s basically just threatening to sic his audience on an accuser if she goes through with a threat to go public with the receipts.
My guess is item 3, with the emails coming from a Fox News employee who is not currently willing to take $15 million or so to walk away with an NDA.
It’s not enough to deal with Nunes.
