Answering my own question - according to the AP, beginning Sept. 1, Scharf will be replacing David Warrington, who will be leaving the administration to join the private sector.
Either Warrington was forced out, or he got tired of the CF’s crap.

While the world burns and the Trumpers dissemble, we’re anything but low-key in kitty world. With Sophie now on chemo, last week Sasha, our other kitty, suffered a massive kidney “insult” of some sort (licked some toxic moss on a coastal catwalk??), and has now spent several nights in the critter hospital trying to get back to normal (fingers crossed). Looking forward to visiting hours this morning . . .

Agreed on the advantages of the parliamentary system - wish we had one here. No confidence votes, snap elections, actually forming a coalition, etc would have gone a long way to eliminating the mess we now find ourselves in.

My guess is that Max Miller is going to be perfectly fine. Republican voters are a bunch of hypocrites that demand “character” from others, they are willing to forgive or ignore bad behavior from those of their own tribe.
Now what could affect Miller more that the abuse accusations is that idiot Vivek Ramaswamy running for governor, he not only rubs people the wrong way but has the wrong skin color and he is a freaking heathen. I can see many republican voters sitting out the election, that that will hurt Miller.
