I do not believe I have heard such wisdom from Congressperson Massie before this. DeSantis should get indicted.

Massie should get indicted too, for the blasphemy of bringing guns to a family Christmas.

Free speech and freedom of religion?

Jesus founded this nation on the Ten Commandments and gave us the 2nd amendment to enforce them, didn’t he?

DeSantis and Massie, lock’em up!

There has to be a thing called Conservative Humor first, before we can make that determination. Science!

The time worn narrative was always that Goldwater, Hugh Scott and John Rhodes went to the White House in the final days and told him the game was over and he should resign. But as leaders of that rump immovable 24% there were the dead enders like Reagan who was still governor when he resigned as well as RNC chairman HW Bush who referred to Watergate as a “two bit burglary”. The Republican Party memory holed Nixon by around 1976. Then he was fully rehabilitated by them at his funeral in 1994.

“I feel sympathy for Trump. And I understand why people are gravitating towards him in this time,” Massie said. “It’s a referendum on the swamp versus Trump, and it’s seen as, if you don’t support Trump in this moment, some of the voters see it as being swampy. If you’re not with him, you must be with the other guys. And it makes it tough.”

This is one of DeSantis’ supporters and friends?
hahahahahahahaha - what a coward. " I wish our guy was a huge criminal and ran the crookedest administration ever seen so he could be as popular as a thrice-bankrupted convicted sex offender."

Massie is an interesting character. He is not interested in self-enrichment, just using power to break institutions.

“I’ve said we gotta figure out, we got to find some judge in Florida that’ll indict DeSantis quick, to close this indictment gap,” Massie said in an interview with the in The Miami Herald. “It’s a truism that anytime someone is being persecuted, their camp rallies to their defense.”

“It feels weird to say this, but I’m just going to say it. I think Ron DeSantis has to weather out these indictments. I think Ron’s taken the right path, which is to be sympathetic to the former president’s plight,” Massie said

I think the State of California could “help out” the DeSantis campaign… Also Martha’s Vinyard and even the State of Texas. They weren’t happy about DeSantis kidnapping legal asylum seekers then dumping them in their states/cities, unannounced.

That’s some Dukakis-level helmetage! Democrats might consider making the comparison. Or better yet, the Lincoln Project.

That idiot has confused persecution with prosecution.

“The swamp” = constitutional order, and rule of law. “Swampy” = I’m not totally sure that demolishing the constitutional order and making Donald Trump’s word into law is maybe the best idea. “Drain the swamp” = destroy the federal government and remake it into an authoritarian dictatorship that immediately will also destroy the independence and autonomy of state and local governments.

Literal translations.
