NASA’s Mars Curiosity Rover, the largest and most advanced robotic Red Planet exploration vehicle the agency has ever launched, has entered the Martian atmosphere and scientists monitoring it at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, say that it is on track to land just 790 ft. away from its precise target location, in a shallow area of the northwestern part of Mars known as the Gale Crater. The landing is expected within minutes.
