The Manhattan district attorney’s office has hired a former senior Justice Department official to join the office’s criminal probe into former president Donald Trump.

When Bragg had the chance to take the lead, he dropped the case. Now, with probable indictments from the Feds and Fulton County, Georgia, he is about to pile on with his new case.

Sucks to play catch up. Especially when you were in first place right before you decided inexplicably to stop running and take off your shoes.

NAL…but I cannot think of a person more occupied with criming than Trump.

JFC Bragg waited for Trump’s star to fade with republicans before doing the right thing. What an asshole.

Somebody found their balls… Or, more likely, somebody had their balls kicked in.

What is the deal with Bragg? Did the checks started bouncing?

It’s not so much an occupation as it is simply his nature.

When Cyrus Vance Jr. was DA, he refused to prosecute Ivanka and Jared Trump for fraud as recommended by career prosecutors. The only bank he ever prosecuted for mortgage fraud was a small Chinese immigrant bank. Neither Vance nor Bragg were concerned about flagrant violation of 501©(3) corporation laws or lying to banks about the value of properties to support loans. Bragg continued the dirty little secret policy of New York City prosecutors - that Wall Street and the wealthy are entitled to a more lenient legal standard. Like Vance, Bragg ignored the recommendations of senior, career prosecutors to prosecute Trump. When you list an asset on a bank loan form with triple the actual square footage and 3 times a reasonable value Bragg thinks that is coincidental if your last name is Trump.

Because he was probably hearing that his reelection was in doubt because of how he bungled the actual probe underway.

It’s unclear why Bragg is pushing the Trump probe now,

In all fairness, it’s hard to run in clown shoes.

I wanna know who got to him. He is way behind the power curve and will be an also-ran, rather than a legal leader.

Too bad for him and for NY.

Seems the Russians are upset that there was an attack at an air base sorta near Moscow by what they called “drones”. Something is seriously wrong when Ukrainian drones can get well over 100 miles into Russia and then blow up gear and planes at an air base. Don’t the Russians know a war is going on? Wadda they expect to happen when they indiscriminately kill thousands of civilians? I hope more damage and destruction happens in Russia. Their militsry and leadership deserve to suffer.

Brag’s chances for re-election are as good as Newt Gingrich’s.

I’ll consider the case to be heating up if and when Bragg et al file something. Until then all I’m seeing is shuffling of personnel.

What exactly has prompted the rejuvenation of the DA’s investigation remains unclear.

I suspect that DA Bragg finally got the memo that T rumpp is an expendable entity within the Republican Party, and is therefore fair game for prosecution.

It’s ridiculous to call Stormy Daniels Trump’s “former mistress.” Five minutes (if that!) does not a mistress make.
