‘MAGA Loves The Black People’ Trump Says Of Supporters He’s Summoned To WH | Talking Points Memo

Was going to mention that!

When I was a student at UC, there was a “Moonie” house near the Greek Theater. I was approached by a Moonie recruiter on Telegraph Avenue.

I didn’t react like Baldwin’s character, though.

I would have been one of them. There’s no doubt that this is not a race based protest. I have seen all of humanity on the right side of history.

Not ex at all. Haven’t had a haircut since 1986. I’m still an unreconstructed child of the Woodstock Nation. (I even pounded a few nails into the stage two days prior to the start of the fun). I may have gotten older but the kid I was is still in me.

The local news here said the crowd in Houston was huge which made sense on all levels - George Floyd was from Houston and he had a profile there - he was one of DJ Screw’s original Screwed Up Click members.

sorry - probably telling you what you already know. hahaha

That’s why Helter Skelter and In Cold Blood affected me — they were true stories. But then I never watch slasher films. I call them violence porn.

What kills me is that ‘he’ might not have known it was a fake 20; I do not look at all my change, each bill.

Well, I always thought Trump was an overactive salivator.

You can smell his drool.

Um, this is quite the column. That’s all I’ll say.

Infelicitous phrasing!

But I take your point, of course.

It’s the same here in my tourist town in WA. Not on the same scale as Bermuda, of course, but the only thing keeping the town businesses alive in the Winter months is the yearlong resident retiree population (raises hand). Young folks who work in the restaurants and motels/B&B’s mostly live outside the town limits where it’s less expensive. Or in trailer homes, or liveaboard boats.

We’re about to go through a major restructuring with all the festivals and other events closed for the Summer and into next Fall. Even after things stabilize, we’ll probably end up more gentrified with retiree dollars and with fewer young families raising kids here, which I hate to see happening.

Only need to look back as far as those shitstain teenagers from Bumblefuck, RedState who came to DC for some pro-life rally and got up in the face of that Native American man then got all butthurt when they were called racist fucks so mommy and daddy sued, well, everyone for like $250 mill each.

Racists breed racists. They don’t believe in birth control but, luckily, they also don’t seem to believe in face masks.

This is not going to end well. Even clashes right outside the WH.

Yes, it is.

We already are.

That is not the point. Waging a war, and suffering defeat establishes their victimhood, and justifies their view of how the world should be. Their lives have no other purpose, and they’re lost without their cause. Dotard T rumpp has vindicated their frailty within themselves, and they now (again) want (need) to lose more of their humanity by suffering defeat at the hands of progress. This is their only reason for being - victimhood.

Agreed.

And this reminds me, I have been meaning to read In Cold Blood. For years, every time I settle on doing so, something distracts me and I never pick up a copy.

Earlier I post a Twitter link that had some interesting footage that indicated that at least some of the so called protesters are actually organized thugs, maybe even police.
Here is the full clip It shows quite clearly that something is afoot.

They were awesome! Willing to show up and describe what they saw when I needed them. Everyone was wonderful. It wasn’t hard lying there, but it did make it very easy to look away from accidents now.

That one I did read. Spooky crazy.

I’ve hated it too. I’ve watched it change completely in Colorado over my lifetime. I remember when it was working ranches from Creede to 30 mile campground. Now it’s houses. I watched families sell off homesteads up in the Gunnison Valley and it just broke my heart over and over. But the younger generations didn’t want to pay the property taxes and the land was worth so much money.

Taos survives a little better on its own but not much. The pueblo is shut down completely and will be all summer I believe, and that’s the biggest draw from all over the world since it’s a World Heritage Site. It’s going to be rough all over the world though.
