It’s only confusing if you persist in believing that the MAGA definition of “free speech” is the same as the lefty definition. The MAGA believe that everything they say should be freely said, broadcast, given its own program, and dominate social media. (Probably even more venues I’ve left out.) Every last thing. Nothing they can possibly say is ever “hate speech.”
Whereas any curbs on their speech, any criticism of their people, any deploring of their tactics, they will define as “hate speech”.
Debasing the language. It’s what the Republican Party has been doing for over 50 years now. Like having two separate information pools, reality and Faux, this language split makes actual communication difficult to impossible. So there can be no “debate” or “exchange of ideas.”

Shooter - dead from self-inflicted wound
Three detainees were shot. One died at the scene, while the remaining two victims were hospitalized in critical condition. Their identities were not released. ICE said in a post on X that the detainees were shot while inside a transport van.
