Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) and David Perdue (R-GA) released a statement late Tuesday night praising a bizarre lawsuit out of Texas — part of Trump’s ongoing gambit to overturn the election — even after Georgia’s own Republican attorney general dismissed it as “constitutionally, legally and factually wrong.”
Loeffler is more fake than a plastic sex doll.
Strategery.
I’m not saying Loeffler and Perdue want to lose, but if they did, they’d be pulling crackpot bullshit like this.
“Our country deserves a victory,” eh?

While I realize it’s completely DOA on the doorsteps of SCOTUS, can you imagine if this theory was given cred? Illinois would sue Iowa and Indiana, Cali could sue pretty much everyone below the M/D line, and complete chaos would reign. Hasten the civil war, natch.
Like fire-and-brimstone preachers predicting the end of the world, each lawsuit is “the big one” until it fails and the next one becomes “the big one.” By 2052, it will be a full-blown Milennarian Cult, with deceased Supreme Court members coming to life to usher in the Divine Reign of Donald Trump the Drainer of Swamps, Newly Resurrected Slayer of Libs!

In essence, Loeffler and Purdue have no loyalty to Georgia voters. They are almost pleading to strip the state’s electorate of the right to vote.
I hope Warnock and Ossoff tee off on this message of contempt.

It’s the height of cognitive dissonance for conservatives like Paxton, Cruz and the two senators from Georgia to claim to revere constitutional originalism and strict constructionism then go ask the Supreme Court to step in and invalidate Biden’s electors in selected states.
I wuz just thinking the same thing… Its a good attack line for Dems: David Perdue says Texas should get to tell us how we run our elections here in Georgia. What’y’all think of that? Maybe then he should be running for Senator in Texas, 'cause he thinks they know better than us.
Any article on Ken Paxton’s lawsuits should mention the big, black legal clouds under which he personally labors. Or just characterize him as “noted sleazeball Ken Paxton.”

This strategy could back fire as they need more than the Trump base to support them. Loyalty to Trump over the country is not a good look and they need the suburbs to win.
Last night when NPR was reporting on Paxton’s lawsuit they ended the story with listing Paxton’s current legal issues - indicted on securities fraud and accused of bribery, abuse of office and other potentially criminal offenses.
And a light went off in my head - OH he wants a pardon from trump and that’s why he’s bringing this lawsuit - to get in trump’s good graces.
