They claim to have “surveyed” everyone with an SIV, with a pending SIV application or who is eligible for an SIV, etc. BUT, they provide zero information about their methodology or their data itself. And again, I was able to find zero information about their funding sources or organizational information, they seem to have sprung up in January 2021 and they do nothing but throw shade at Biden.

Yes, and that’s why the government got involved in health and health care.
We determined that many Americans suffered from a lack of access to health care, and we specified a minimum number of hospital beds per population size. Hospitals sprang up in cities and towns throughout the country.
We made massive investments into medical research through our medical schools and teaching hospitals.
We vaccinated millions of school aged children to prevent the spread of deadly diseases.
We instituted price supports and other programs to ensure that milk and other healthy foods would be affordable and available at the grocery store and the school cafeteria.
The results off all this investment and activity was an increase in life expectancy, a near elimination of deadly and debilitating conditions such as polio and tuberculosis, and a huge drop in infant mortality.
So when wingnut conservatives say we need to get the government out of the medical system, remind them that we would not have a medical system without the government.

Yep, without fairly detailed information on “survey” methodology the statements mean nothing. Send email to a few dozen people labeled “Survey”, adjust for demographic and other characteristics of the people who respond, and bingo, you’ve surveyed millions of people.

I believe he is on the ventilator as the judge in a DC insurrectionist trial refused to allow another attorney for his firm to file an appearance for Pierce on his behalf.
When Judge Amit Mehta asked where Pierce was, Marshall said, “Mr. Pierce is in the hospital, we believe, with COVID-19, on a ventilator, non-responsive.”
Judge Mehta wished the Pierce family well and scheduled a hearing next Thursday rather than accepting the appearance of a lawyer on a ventilator to represent his 18th client in this matter.

Maybe I should have said, “Parts of the Taliban are in a bind…”. because some of their public faces have expressed concerns about losing physicians and engineers and other skilled professionals.
It’s equally true that other Taliban public faces are more sympathetic to the idea, “Let’s kill them all and Allah will sort them out for us.”
