Tonight is President Trump’s fourth State of the Union address. The speech couldn’t come at a more tense time for the President, who is on the brink of being acquitted of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress in the Senate.
Collins and Murkowski are voting to acquit, despite all their chest beating.
Quelle surprise.
That leaves Romney to bipartisan the vote, but I ain’t holding my breath.
The list of presidential guests reads like a listing of right wing base red meat…there’s very little in there that appears to be unifying. It’s not the fault of the people, but you can tell where it’s headed by the slanted descriptions, and by the topics that each person represents. It’s going to be an ugly speech…even if Trump doesn’t go off on impeachment and gloat, his speechwriters apparently figured this was the best time to drag out as much divisive content as they could get away with.
