But watch the 6 write it in a way that so severely weakens the “viability” standard that it is in actual effect a repeal of Roe. Then watch the MSM sell the ruling as a glass half full in favor of abortion rights and Republicans will tut tut the overreacting Democrats. We need to play chess, not checkers, and I fear that the Texas law is a sacrifice move in a potentially successful longer gambit.

I know this is splitting hairs to some extent but every woman I know who became pregnant waited until after her menstrual period didn’t occur before getting a pregnancy test. And most womens’ menstrual periods are not exactly 28 days after the last one. In Texas, that means it’s now a gotcha by the woman hating Rethuglicans.
