Let The Sh*tshow Commence: Gov. LePage Reemerges With Bid To Take Back Old Seat

Oh, no, I am certain if you dig deep enough you will find out that it was Hunter Biden who mandated that, through his sleepy incoherent dad and that silly brown woman who’s playing veep.

We don’t deserve more of LePage. The most you might fairly say is that if he wins, the people who voted for him deserve him. You go much further and claim that if the candidate does something bad that they weren’t even warned about, they deserve that too. LePage has created much suffering and even death here. Not even the people who voted for him deserve that, and he never promised any of it either. If what you are saying had any basis in principle, there would be no truth in advertising or product liability laws.

The conservative demographic keeps hauling out the train wrecks of our species, passing off bad factory seconds as good.

Gawd needs better production control and quality checking. With these guys you can even see the box was re-taped and I bet even some of the parts are missing.

I don’t think that’s what’s behind it. How many billionaires…even millionaires…shop online? Use eBay? They don’t. They buy shit from Paris or Rome…no taxes at all. Adding a sales tax on sales that don’t take place where the tax is levied has one purpose: Money to offset the tax cuts for others. Donors and fat cats.

We are thinking along the same lines here I see.

Yea, bu Maine has ranked choice voting and IIRC, LePage never got more than 40% of the vote.

Yep, that’s the one. If he wins again, I’m leaving.

LePage is no SuzieQ.

But the republicans fought and won to have ranked choice NOT apply to the Governor’s race.

Same, but now even larger and more gaping.

Ah! Didn’t know that.

No, it was intentional. Maine republicans fought and won that one.

It’s because the Maine Constitution requires the Governor be elected only by a plurality. RCV, by requiring a majority, was deemed not to apply to the Governor’s office. by the state supreme court. Unfortunately rightly decided.

I lived in Vermont for a few years back in the '70’s but got tired of living poor. From what I remember, Maine had it even worse. And then LePage came along. What a fucking pig - on so many levels. Talk about suffering!

Yes. That is how it came about. Thanks for reminding me. The Rs took it to court and won on the merits. The screw-up @ClutchCargo mentioned was in the drafting of the referendum.
