Hey!
She was looking out for the safety of her customers when she sold them stuff that didn’t actually have any stem cells. Who knows what side effects those things might cause if taken orally for no particular reason. If you’re going to sell folks fake medicine, the least you can do is try to keep it from being toxic.
Republican pol indicted for fraud. Dog bites man.
Why, she looks like an absolute delight! And she uses the same peroxide as Marjorie Taylor Greene!
BTW, she mixes up her magic potion in the basement of a pizza parlor in Kansas City.
If I were the prosecutor, I would tell her all charges would be dropped if she drank an 8-ounce glass of her concoction.
She’ll take life in prison, believe me!
So the first day of the new MO legislative session was a momentous day in our country 01/06/21. So the gal has only been sworn in since then, 18 days in and then indicted. It has to be a record.
Trump’s sister?
No words.
In all, patients paid Derges roughly $191,815 for amniotic fluid that did not contain stem cells, the indictment alleged.
Hope springs eternal. /s
Why did she ever think she could get away with that?
Are the legalities of the medical trade never discussed in Licensed Physician Assistant School?
But, but, but, COVID isn’t a thing. It doesn’t need treatment.
Bad Craziness indeed.
So how does a bible-belt republican explain selling stem cells?
“a licensed assistant physician,”
Got that backwards. It’s “physician assistant.”
I might suggest there is more to the Representative’s iceberg/scheme than the grand jury was being asked to weigh in on:

Busy lady. However did she find time to run a Fried Green Tomatoes Restaurant, too?:
And running a big boards preparation educational program, too! After raising her 8 children, “and a lifetime of business, she made the decision to go to medical school at the age of 52 in order to do more for those in need. She graduated Summa Cum Laude of her medical class in Curacao, Netherland Antilles and did all of her clinical training at Cox Hospital in Springfield, MO., with whom Dr. Derges describes as the top physicians, not just in Springfield, but the state of Missouri!”
Nope. Might just as well been: State Rep. Patricia “Tricia” Ashton Derges ($).
The Gaussian Normal distribution doesn’t always apply to a population, populations can develop additional modes and the mean can shift over time. The average IQ from the, say, mid-to-late 1960’s would be higher than today’s and certain segments ( R ) of the population are self-selecting for lower IQ’s further skewing the distribution.
Apart from throwing Patty “Funeral” Derges into the deepest pit of Hades, all of the MDs or DOs on the company Board should have their licenses suspended pending investigation of their roles in the scheme.
But hopefully not replicable.
From @Hatmama ‘s link
“ Dr. Derges is very proud to have been a part of the Assistant Physicans Law in Missouri. In 2014 she provided the physician documentation that was instrumental in helping the Missouri House of Representatives write and pass the Assistant Physicians Law and in 2017 co-wrote the bill that was passed which corrected the eligibility time for application for the Assistant Physician law. The Assistant Physician Law allowed Missouri to be the first state to make major headway in decreasing the severe shortage of physicians and getting qualified help for their underserved population. She is currently working with individuals in Washington DC to provide solutions that help solve our nations physician shortage by providing better residency options, taking care of our Veterans while at the same time reducing cost. Her 4 clinics now employee only Assistant Physician’s. “
Like you I was only familiar with Physician’s assistants, referred to as PAs. Looks like Missouri has created a new category “Assistant Physician”. Not sure what training it entails. The redoubtable Dr. Derges refers to herself as having an MD on her business pages.
