Happy Holidays to all the TPMers who unknowingly help me maintain my sanity. Also too…fuck the motherfucker and his enablers! Peace to you and your families.
I thought Manning was naive in the extreme, and did damage to America’s standing, but I didn’t really have a problem with pardoning her for being foolish. I doubt we’ll see her trying to subvert the next election, or conspiring with foreign powers.
In general, I view pardons as one of those things you have to accept. But then Arpaio, Libby, war crimes overseas and the latest I find particularly inhumane.
I’m with Josh. There’s different ways to get accountability. One is having your name in th he dictionary beside “sedition.” Think Benedict Arnold.
I think the Biden administration should just dump all the documents like the complete Mueller report and transcripts of calls with Putin and so forth with no redactions whatsoever. Leave in people’s social security numbers and ex-wifes’ phone numbers. Redact nothing. Make sure everyone knows what these bastards did. Having historians associate your name forever with treason will be partial punishment; having your grandchildren change their names so as to be not associated with you also.
Then prosecute where you can.
Jesse Benton and John Tate, for example, were found guilty in 2016 of a scheme to funnel $73,000 to an Iowa state senator in 2012 in exchange for the senator endorsing their then-boss, the then-congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul (R-TX).
Half of the Republican sitting congressmen are thinking, “This is outrageous! It’s one thing to cheat a Democrat in a general election, but what if one of my Republican colleagues now feels that it would be okay to cheat me in a future primary election.”
Can you guess what the other half of Republican sitting congressmen are thinking?
Came across this article on the Beeb. No words. Then again, it’s Penceistan.
A black physician in Indianapolis has died with Covid-19 weeks after she accused a doctor of denying her proper medical care because of her race.
In a video from her bed at Indiana University Hospital North, Susan Moore said she had to “beg” for treatment.
Dr Moore tested positive for Covid-19 on 29 November and was admitted with a high fever while she coughed up blood and struggled to breathe. But even as a physician herself, she said she had struggled with getting care.
Dr Moore said she had had to plead for antiviral Remdesivir doses and request a scan of her chest. The doctor at one point reportedly told her she did not qualify for the drug and that she should go home.
“He made me feel like I was a drug addict,” Dr Moore said in a Facebook video. “And he knew I was a physician. I don’t take narcotics. I was hurting.”
…and YET Peter Strzok and Lisa Page are STILL denigrated by the Orange Buffoon as the WORST criminals that ever hurt his feelings by email!!! Reprehensible toad.
