It IS hopeful in the sense that he hopes he can con enough people (together with the Cheating that he is ALSO hoping for) to re-elect him.

I’m just trying to imagine how much worse it will be when Joe Biden is elected. Somehow, I feel it can only get better.

"would also address the seriousness of November’s election and explain how the wrong vote will have “serious consequences.”

Got that right !

Trump: “I resign”

That two-word speech would be the most hopeful speech made by any American political figure at any time in our recorded History as a nation.

It’s not nice to suggest that the Resident be boiled in oil.

Technically this is argument by assertion—you say things are a certain way, with no proof. It’s just mouth noise. They do this all. the. time. We know like we know our own names Trump is incapable of thinking of or communicating a hopeful, positive image. He doesn’t imagine hopeful outcomes for anyone but himself. His longstanding proclivity is to say if you don’t do what he wants, disastuh will ensue, a disastuh like no one’s ever seen before, because he doesn’t really do nuance, this one. And saying the speech will be hopeful doesn’t make it so, Jared, and there’s no point in saying that just because you wish it were true and want people to think it’s true. You’re a fucking liar like your father-in-law, and we all know it, and nobody believes a goddamn word that any of the pack of you thinks to say. Tell it to the judge, you rotten little punk.

“…and very hopeful.” Like evil Jared.

“Very hopeful, as in ‘I hope we all don’t end up in jail … like my daddy.’”

I’ll go ahead and admit it, Blaggard Boy sometimes gives me hope. Hope that he’ll simply drop dead, take that proverbial “long walk down a steep ramp” (20% grade or better) on camera, preferably broadcast live.

I often imagine his cortège making its way down Pennsylvania Avenue as throngs of grateful Americans cheer its long-awaited procession; I’m pretty sure he’ll be proud that the size of the crowd is even bigger than his installation march — and get great ratings, to boot!

The bonus, of course, is that I can also officially list his final rotting place as a stop on Tio Wally’s Shit on their Graves Tours.

From the former Rose Garden, followed by a helicopter evacuation of loyal staffers from the roof.

I see how you may have gotten that impression, although it could be argued that topologically he is a toroid. I was thinking of a more inanimate target.

But it’s worth discussing. There are some very good people on both sides of the “boiled in oil” debate.

Well of course there’s a chemical leak, wake me when the explosions happen.
