She had enough to persuade a jury, apparently. This shouldn’t need to be pointed out, but prosecutors don’t actually convict people.
Yeah the standards for convicting black, male teenagers is so high in this country. Only a rock solid case would get it done.
Except S&F is no longer there, it would be like them protesting S&F (if it was still in place) by going after Bloomberg instead of the current Mayor who could remove it.
Another hit-piece on Klobuchar from the Bernie Bros.
They are desperate to win Minnesota by any means necessary, even lies.
Hope you are proud of this hit-piece.
Hi! To find out what I can do, say @discobot display help
.
The people it harmed are. The teen she convicted is still in jail. She has power as US Senator & former prosecutor to bear on the case. She is where it all began and she bragged about it. If she wants to use it to build her “tough on crime” image…then she bears the brunt now of wrongful prosecution.
MiniMike apologized. MiniMike set up Young Mans Intiative. MiniMike has put forth effort to make amends.
Amy ain’t did diddly but act like shes Minnesota nice & she’s not.
Apparently there was enough ‘evidence’ to convince two juries.
Actually, she has called for the evidence to be re-examined. She has no authority in the case, and has not for many years.
- She didn’t convict the defendant, the jury did.
- So did the jury that heard the re-trial that her successor as DA conducted.
The guy may well be innocent. There may well be a very serious miscarriage of justice here. But there is a rush to judgment here.
“Being a prosecutor is inherently a qualification for office” is wrong, but the pendulum should not swing wildly to “being a prosecutor is inherently a disqualification for office”.
Stop letting facts and chronology get in the way of a protest.
And not true. She hasn’t insisted on keeping him incarcerated. He was re-tried and convicted a second time after she left office. Since then, she has said that if there is new evidence, it should be reviewed. What, exactly, are you saying she should do? Go and berate the jurors in both trials? Do a jail break?
Whoa,

BREAKING:
Klobuchar is dropping out of the presidential race, will fly to Dallas tonight to join Biden and endorse
It’s early, yet, but I think you’ve nailed down the Most Cryptic Post of the Day prize.
I believe the missing information does, however, refer to Amy Klobuchar.
ETA: Ah, I see the needed edit has been provided.
I try to snip out all of the Twitter links so folks don’t accidentally click and get taken to a new page. Inadvertently deleted the @klob link rather then convert it to plaintext.
And Klobuchar is out of the race.
Do try to keep up.
How does this make BLM an organization that got ‘manipulated by Putin’ as an organization. Faking some
Twitter handles is hardly the same thing. And why would that make this blm protest questionable?
And if the suggestion is that Russian propaganda worked better on the black community than elsewhere that’s a load of shit. White democratic vote was off more than black democratic vote from 2008 and 2012 in 2016.
What people really need to accept and move past is that even with the dirty tricks (and there were plenty) Hillary was a historically terrible candidate. She was unpopular and disliked long before 2016 and ran on the ‘it’s my turn’ platform that’s always super popular.
The question is whether Putin is continuing his tradition of attacking Democratic candidates.
Since you obviously know this history why did you play dumb?
Enough people of all descriptions fell for Russia inflaming actual and made up grievances that we got Trump-- the worst possible outcome.
MiniMike didn’t shove men up against wall & cuff them.
I’m not seeing what the rush to judgment is here.
She was the prosecutor on the case for teen boy with a life sentence. The case was entirely circumstantial as there was no weapon, no prints, no DNA. She chose to prosecute him and with a life sentence. He was convicted.
That’s not a rush to judgment on my part. It was her call. She knew what she was doing & she’s boasted about how she got the conviction.
Now, she is being met with the consequences of her rush to judgment and awesome prosecutorial* skills.
