Newly unredacted documents released on Thursday reveal just how in the loop President Trump was as his then-personal lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen tried to keep an alleged affair between Trump and porn star Stormy Daniels under wraps ahead of the 2016 election.
we have all this evidence…
…and cohen reportedly cooperated with prosecutors, and with Congress.
so why is this stuff news? Wasn’t cohen asked about this stuff in his various testimonies before congress – including ones held behind closed doors this year?
Did Cohen not volunteer this stuff?
ETA: or is this just confirmation of Cohen’s earlier claims?
And now that we know all of this stuff. What happens next? Is this just a lovely bedtime story or is this something that can be taken to move the ball forward?
I’m all for the revelations and I’m hoping it’s going to go somewhere rapidly and I don’t mean into the dustbin of history.
Looking for Trump to start a really bloody war in response to this story.

part of me wants to start my usual “Where is Pelosi! Is it time for impeachment yet!” screed.
But to be honest, if we were talking about a Democrat here, I wouldn’t give a flying F*** about this kind of “scandal”.
Compared to the way in which Donald Trump deliberately and consciously exploited Russian’s illegal hacking and release of private emails, then tried to cover up for the attacks on our elections by Russia, this is absolutely trivial.
But I guess if this is what it takes to get an impeachment inquiry started, go for it.

Speaker Pelosi sent the wrong message when she downplayed impeachment at at time that Barr was moving to shutdown Mueller and SDNY, two mortal threats to Trump.
It’s time to correct that mistake. Open an impeachment inquiry.

Do the right thing. Do the politically smart thing. Open a formal impeachment inquiry. Highlight Trump’s corruption. Then you’ll be able to bury him at the ballot box and perhaps even force his resignation.
