Secretary of State John Kerry and Afghan President Hamid Karzai appeared to have mended bridges between their two countries during Kerry’s unannounced visit to Afghanistan Monday, the Associated Press reported. Kerry arrived shortly after the United States military handed over control Parwan, its last detention facility in Afghanistan.
