MSM: Democrats in disarray (again).

Sad but neither the first nor the last to do so…

I guess she wanted to save face with this obviously untrue explanation, but we all know why they’re quitting or not running again. They no longer have a place in the GOP and know that they’d get attacked, humiliated and crushed. The only viable opposition to the TOP, Trump’s Own Party, is from the outside, as either an indie or Dem, and aligning with Dems.

It’s understandable why Putin would align himself with Trump and the TOP. Both are lifelong cheaters, thugs and con artists who refuse to play by the rules and have no interest in building anything worthwhile and lasting and see everything in terms of their own outsized and diseased egos. That one is smart and the other an imbecile is besides the point. It’s all about psychology and mutually beneficial personal alliances. And each represents (meaning exploits) a regressive, revanchist and racist faction in their respective countries that can’t and won’t get with the times and instead seeks to lower everyone else to their level. The psychology and politics of all this is quite simple and easy to understand. But how to combat it, given its primal appeal to large segments of the population who are emotionally and culturally unfit for modern life and are basically Neanderthals in our midst?

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

And so it goes.

So what is it? Revenge from tfg or lack of support by his gaga base? Maybe she naively thought truth would get some traction in today’s GOP.

Is it really all that sad when the leopard eats another party member’s face?

Yeah. Invite Medusa to a party and act surprised when everybody gets stoned.

The GOP’s “great purge” of the infidels continues apace. Whether by election losses to Trumpier people, or by giving in to the inevitable and retiring, the last vestiges of the “apostates” are being cleansed from a party that now exists almost purely as an instrument of white grievance, nationalism, anti-intellectualism and extreme religionism. And they have captured the Supreme Court to help carry out their mission of spite without the encumbrances of policy.

Perhaps they’d be more successful in dat array.

In a country in which a sizable majority approves of the J6C, there is a place for this woman in politics.

Fuck the GOP, b/t/w

The Republican Party is like a dog with diarrhea, soiling everything in its path.

Nicely done but just as impressive is the “so it goes” (K.V.)

Every GOP officeholder either endorses Trump’s lies or gets out of the way. That’s their only choice. The entire GOP will have their roster rotated out for Trumpers before all is said and done.

Well, I only meant “sad” in the sense that, just as she gets a bit of an awakening and decides to develop a spine, she runs away.

But, ultimately, you are, of course, right.

Yes, but not the end of the world.

And not only have they captured our supremely corrupt court they also, by virtue of our antiquated and undemocratic electoral college system and the highly undemocratic nature of our house of lords (aka senate) they have also captured the entire legislative branch and have a decided advantage in assuming control of the executive.

As far as the legislative branch goes they only need 41 senators to veto any beneficial legislation proposed by the majority. Since the fascists don’t have an actual legislative agenda other than protecting their financial sponsors from possible legal peril in all matters personal and public, their veto gives them sufficient control for now.

It’s a pretty small purge, really. So small that it’s noteworthy when anybody who disputes the Big Lie gets ostracized or retires.

Too bad. She is probably sick of the lies from her own party. I remember when Wisconsin used to hold people accountable.

Not so sad when you consider this makes it highly likely that a Trumpy freak will run and be handily beaten by a Democrat.
