It’d be bad for the brand if she didn’t make a fuss.
Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake has refused to concede to her Democratic opponent Katie Hobbs in the race to become Arizona’s new governor. Instead, she’s mounting a legal challenge.
1 • With any luck at all she’ll devolve like the last Japanese soldier hiding in a cave on Guam, found in the late 1960s claiming that WW2 is not over and the Empire of Japan is still intent on winning.
2 • Her concession is not really necessary, though she thinks it is. The GQP thinks of themselves as the Permission-Givers, all the while pretending they adore freedom of thought and action. (Yet it’s really for themselves and not others.)
3 • I hope somebody gives her some rotten cheese with that whine.
You may have put your finger on it. Somebody pointed out how few (almost none) GOP losers were pulling a Trump and shouting “Stop the Steal,” and figured it’s because Trump owns that. It’s his signature con, and he’s not gonna let a bunch of nobody losers start cutting in on it. When I saw that Lake immediately headed to Florida I thought “She’s going to make it right, that is, cut a deal, with the Donald.”
