I got it. To clarify, Bathory was accused of murdering hundreds of girls whose blood she would bathe in to maintain her youth.

Here is her problem. A sizeable percent of those who voted for her in 2022 did so because of her position on abortion.

Now she is taking a position that would ban less than 1% of all abortions. That should make many of those who vote Republican and for her in the past feel if not betrayed, not very happy.

The Republican Party has been buying power for 40 years on a credit card to ban abortion and now the bill has come due.

The Dobbs decision changed the balance by creating one issue voters who support abortion. The Dobbs decision did nothing to add to the one issue voters who oppose abortion except increase there demands.
