Judge To Trump: Explain Why You Think The Law Doesn’t Apply To You

The Trump “strategy” is pretty much the standard one that he has used in court cases against him for most of his career: delay things in any way possible. Trump has learned that good things happen for bad people who wait.

All of us here in the Hive knew she would do things like this. Set the trial date then, delay, delay, delay so that the trial can’t happen before the election. Good thing justice isn’t riding on her alone.

Don’t bother with contempt for Trump - a gag order which he will never have the sense to comply with will get his bail revoked pending trial.

Hold his attorneys in contempt, with penalties for every day until they comply.

I think I see one flaw with that plan…

Trump’s lawyers will grasp every straw blowing in the wind which might lead to a delay of the trial date. When I first heard that there was a classified documents issue in the DC January 6 case, I was confused since I did not think that classified documents were involved. Apparently classified documents are a minuscule part of the evidence, but that is the opportunity for Trump’s lawyers to construct a mountain out of an ant hill.

Kevin McCarthy considers resigning from the House before the end of his term.

“My work here is done” he said, as the last of the Young Guns rides off into the sunset.

I’m guessing never? Because there isn’t?

With all the forces willing, Inmate #PO1135809, currently out on bail, may meet his final maker on his D.C. trial date of March 4, 2024. It is a powerful date in the cosmos – the “Spring Imperative” (March Forth/Fourth) A whole lot of serious magical mojo governs that date. And, in that year (2024) It will be under Dragon rule. Dragons are phenomenally strong, resilient as hell, and never, ever give up. Do you know who is a Dragon? Kamala Harris. Good omen. Although, I would be quite happy if the defendant gave up sooner than that.

Why wait to start getting think tank or K Street money?

Oh, you must be a businessman! Or perhaps a General?

Yes. And by giving them extra time but not slipping the trial date, I think she is committing herself to more late nights to prepare her responses in a shortened timeframe.

I have so much admiration for this judge!

Do you smile to tempt a lover, Mona Lisa?
Or is this your way to hide a broken heart?
Many dreams have been brought to your doorstep
They just lie there, and they die there
Are you warm? Are you real, Mona Lisa?
Or just a cold and lonely, lovely work of art?

In the last few days, thanks to Wikipedia, I’ve become an expert on Puritans’ arguments among themselves about preparatory grace and related issues that were as important to them as the question, how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, was to their Medieval ancestors. I confess that Ulysses S. Grant has not raised me to the level of “expert” on the role of engineers in the U. S. Army during the Mexican-American War, but he has made me aware that news coverage of the wars our current military is fighting neglects this aspect of warfare.
