In the 1980’s, 1990’s and as far as 2012 I crossed the Mexican border many times as it is just 50 miles south. I always got smiles from CBP, BP and whoever manned the entry at Nogales. I stopped visiting when their attitude became decidedly unfriendly. By contrast Mexico was welcoming.
