This nobody was a crackhead for a reason. His natural state is degenerate addict and we’re just witness to the brief part of his life when he’s semi-coherent. He’ll be back in his natural state soon enough, about 15 minutes after he pisses the last of his money away giving Trump a rusty trombone for the ages, at which point Fat Boy will say, “Mike, who?”
Nichols cited that claim in particular as being on “the frivolous side of the line.”
“In particular, the Court concludes that at the very least Lindell’s claim against Smartmatic under the Support or Advocacy Clause falls on the frivolous side of the line (other claims do too),” the judge wrote. “As a result, the Court orders Lindell and his previous counsel to pay some of the fees and costs Smartmatic has incurred defending itself and moving for sanctions under Rule 11.”
Take the man’s money away from him. He will keep talking pillow talk. Take his money away.
All Lindell did was trade one addiction for another.
Well, the motormouth dingbat’s yammerings cost him some money. Good. Let it be only the beginning until he’s bankrupt and doesn’t have bus fare. As Hamlet said to the lifeless body of Polonius, “Thou find’st to be too busy is some danger.”
I sit here thinking, I’ve been practicing law for 33 years. I’ve handled literally thousands of litigation matters form JP Court to Federal District Court for all kinds of clients, loonytune & otherwise, and I’ve not once been threatened with Rule 11 sanctions. What am I doing wrong???
This week has had a fair amount of good news, this not being the least.
Justice train, please keep gathering steam to sweep these vermin off the tracks.
Overcautiousness. Let your freak flag fly and yell a bunch of crazy defamatory shit in every venue you can find until your dreams come true.
I shall endeavor to persevere.
Relying on a functional cerebral cortex?
Hey, if it’s worth doing at all, it’s worth doing right.
Depends who you ask.
The judge said the pillow magnate would have to pay a portion of Smartmatic’s legal fees, and that the amount would be determined after receiving briefs from both sides.
oopsie
Here’s hoping Smartmatic hired very very expensive lawyers.
Yep. and that would mean keeping distant from crackpots like Lindell and his mentor… “individual one” as he was once termed in an indictment given to Michael Cohen tfg’s former lawyer.
I hope he goes home tonight and cries in his pillow.
I can hardly wait for the Voting Machines v. Fox case to come up. That should be fun.
Lindell is not the only one of these crackpots who seems to confuse assertion with evidence, but he does seem to be the most seriously brain-damaged of the lot.
The wheels are very rusty in most cases and in some utterly seized and welded shut. In others oiled to perfection. Example… the teen who killed 10 in a horrible vicious hate crime a few days ago has been indicted. A speedy indictment as it should have been. And he is in jail. Then again there is trump who orchestrated an attempted violent takeover of the government with the intent of sabotaging certification of the 2020 election as prescribed in the Constitution (amendment 12). He has yet to answer for what he did. He also has serious tax fraud crimes to answer for prior to holding office. No indictment yet after months and years of waiting. Justice under law is not equal.
Are there any other kind for these guys?
I think some are waaay more expensive than others. But I haven’t got much experience with trials or lawyers fees. However I did show up for Jury duty this past Tuesday. After 5 hours hanging out in the Jury assembly room of our Pima County Superior Court, I was sent home. I wasn’t selected for jury service. I wasn’t given a reason. Of the 30 folks in the group about 20 went to court rooms. Of the other 10 who were left, 5 got sent home directly. The last 5 (me included) were told to go find lunch but be back in short order. I chose to forego lunch and wait. The lady who seemed to be in charge approached me and said I was excused for further service.
