I didn’t think SCOTUS would dump this case on standing out of the gate, but it may be worth it to them to get Kaszmaryk’s name out of their courtroom for good… on this subject anyway.
I wonder how long before he gets excoriated for being ‘woke’ and a danger to society to the point where he starts getting threats against him and his loved ones?

True story - when I was working on my ugrad degree (CompSci), I was mostly surrounded by like-minded scientific types, so was astounded one day when somebody made an off-hand comment about how old the world was and then a friend of a friend who was visiting us geeks made a reply questioning whether the earth was really as old as some people claimed. I thought he was joking, so pointed out that the geological record showed clearly things went back for millions of years. His reply? “Well, God could have put all that there to challenge our faith”.
This was my first face-to-face run-in with a true evangelical believer type, little was I to know how many more awaited me over the next 40 years!
